I noticed, from seeing trailers and posters, that both No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood bear the logos of both Miramax and Paramount Vantage. These are easily two of my most anticipated films of the year, and from what I hear, the cinematography in each is incredible. Does anyone know which company has the home video distribution rights for these two?

Miramax means Blu-Ray
Paramount Vantage means HD-DVD

Personally, I hope Miramax. Disney (Touchstone) getting The Prestige over their partner Warner Bros. gave us a great disc with a gorgeous transfer. I know Paramount almost always delivers on PQ, but they rarely use HD audio and Paramount Vantage films have a habit of being extremely lacking in the extras department (Babel, A Mighty Heart, etc.). Anyone in the know on this one?

man, I read it: No country and there will be blood. Obviously, I've never heard of any of these and I thought the format war had turned blood red....literally. :)

No Country For Old Men (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477348/companycredits), until they update the distributor it looks like BD in the US, HD DVD overseas.

There Will Be Blood (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469494/companycredits). The info on this seems to be updated and the Miramax/Paramount Vantage partnership features the opposite distribution rights. HD DVD in the US, BD overseas.

Cool, thanks a lot, bro. I appreciate the info, even if the Blood part pains me.
