Has anyone fabricated a custom bracket, or have any good ideas for fitting a slightly larger tv on a smaller wall mount. I am about to explain. :D

I ordered a couple wall mounts and some cables from monoprice yesterday only to get home from work and realize one of the mounts was 23"-37". The tv's I'm mounting are both 42". It's totally my fault for not noticing my goof. I tried to call monoprice and change the order but it had already shipped (would have been a good thing any other time)

Here is the one I will be modifying or creating a custom bracket for to fit my Philips 42" LCD (42PFL5332D/37).

It says it can hold the weight, this Philips is very light anyway. But I guess before I dig into it I'd like to see everyone's thoughts. I might just end up reselling it and buying the correct one this time...but I'm good at making things work right, and I'm good at fabrication and all of that jazz.

On a side note, I'll be mounting my Samsung 42" plasma (HP-S4253) with this mount

Gotta love monoprice.

In case anyone was watching...

Upon arrival and assembly of the mount in question. I found a pretty reasonable way to extend the mounting points to fit my 42PFL5332D/37.

The silver/chrome bars you see in the picture are the only things limiting the distance. So I am going to go to Home Depot or Lowe's, get some tubing with the same diameter and cut to fit :) I only need a few more inches.

I will post pictures when I am finished, probably in about three weeks or so. I'm busy getting things ready to move into my wife and I's new house (where I'm wall mounting my tv's) so I don't have time to fabricate at the moment. Blah!
