I have a Sony HS-20 that has the "lamp bug." Is it worth it to have it repaired and replace the bulb in order to sell it, or is it a throw away item?

If the repair is free or under warranty, then yes. Otherwise it's probably going to be too costly.

Well it's definitely not under warranty. I'm just trying to decide if I should just toss it out or not. I've all most done it twice but I just couldn't do it.
