Do you guys agree with me on how cool it is to be an HDM fan these days? Last week we got Transformers, this week Kubrick films and, a personal favorite, Inside Man, next week Spiderman 1-3, and it keeps on going like this until the end of the year!!!

Regardless of which format you support, you are going to get a ton of great movies and TV Shows!! My wallet is going to need a few BOGO sales just so I can make rent. :D It rocks to be an HDM fan right now, doubly so if you are Neutral! ;)

What movie/TV Shows are you looking forward to picking up by the end of the year?

For me, it would have to be BSG: Season 1 on HD DVD. I've been holding off on the SD DVDs for more than a year because I knew they were eventually going to come out on HD DVD. I saw Season one two years ago on some low quality 300 MB Divx files so the PQ should be remarkably better. ;)

Great to be an HDM fan, sucks to have to pay bills. On top of that, Im also an avid gamer. Have you SEEN the 360 line up this holiday? jeez...I need more money.

I've already picked up Halo 3 and Orange Box plus Call of Duty 4 and Mass Effect are a must buys. Also, i'm picking up a PS3 soon, so add Ratchet an Clank and Drakes: Untold Fortune to the list.
I'm going to have to hold off on a lot of great games to afford it all. I could see myself easily spending $500 on media this holiday.:eek:

Agreed! I am still fully immersed with Transformers, but am looking forward to Spider-man trilogy, Ronin, Bourne 3, Pirates 3. Not to mention GH3 and Mario Galaxy for Wii :D

4Q '07 looks a lot better than 4Q '06 did that's for sure. Yeah it'll cost a bit more than the rest of the year but it'll be fun trying to watch all of those discs inbetween football games. Thankfully my wife and kids are into football and movies as well or they wouldn't see me much until February... lol.

watching football this season is like watching a movie you know the ending to, i'm surprised they didn't hand the trophy to the Patriots yet.

Don't count my Colts out. I'm not quite willing to conceed the AFC to those Pats quite yet. ;)

Back on track...yes, it's a great time to support HDM. I can't wait to watch some great movies with my friends over the holidays. I love being an early adopter sometimes (though they should have a website called "Thinwallet.com" for those of us that spend too much money on all these great deals).

The movies and games coming 4th quarter and 1st quarter of next year are definitely going to make a dent in my pocket :/

I have 20+ BR movies on preorder for this year so far and there's half a dozen or more games I want across the three systems.

I'm quite excited for 1st quarter of 08 too (3:10, Shoot'em up and Across the Universe should hit in 1st Q).

I could not agree more.

The only sad thing is my wallet. There are multiple movies coming out each week that I want on both sides!

Not enough time for it all! I haven't watched quite a few of my blu-ray movies and there are quite a few more I want. Then gaming holiday season has started to pump out some great games, it is going syphon a lot cash out as well (I'm not caught up there either). Then there are other hobbies like rock climbing and oh yeah that family thing ;) Not enough time!

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x66/LeeAStewart/258318_1020_A.jpgNow THAT is an HDM release that should be in EVERYONE's collection.

4K scans and even 8K scans to restore the original special effects promise to be one of the most spectacular HD releases for any film it's age - and likely for many films of any age.

One of the real must have titles - a blind buy - and it's received the very best attention.

And - at an AMAZINGLY good price.

Agreed, Warner brothers should be applauded for the price tag on this one. Bringing an amazing set with tons of discs for that price is a step in the right direction.

This time of the year is always great for movies, I'm buying nearly 6 SD DVDs, and an average of a HD DVD title per week. I'd buy more HD if there were more I wanted to buy, but that day is taking it's time to reach me.

I should explain that the 6 SD DVDs per week is because I'm a horror fan, and fall is when they start coming fast and furious.

Universal should have given us PSYCHO this fall.
For a studio with a lot of great vintage horror, they sure are tight with it on HD.
