Does anyone have any info if there is going to be a 60 GB bundle pack for the holidays? I realize that they are phasing this unit out, but was just wondering if anyone had any info on a possible bundle pack for the holidays? The more I look into the games coming out and reading about the PS3, the more I want to get one...thanks for the replies yesterday in my other thread, it was very helpful.

They are having one up here in Canada right now. 2 games I believe and guitar hero II for free.

Chicago area best buys have 60GB, your choice of HS, Lair or Extra controller.

Walmart has the 60GB with a game(you get a choice from several games) and Blu Ray remote for $499. Shipping for me was $12.97. I got it the next day since it shipped from Memphis.

I just checked out the Wallmart deal...I think I may go for it! Do they offer an ext warranty? Did anyone even go for the ext warranty??

I can confirm that all Gamestop/EB stores have an unadvertised "bundle", where you can get a free game with a 60GB system purchase. I used to work at Gamestop, and stopped in today to talk to an old manager of mine. I was on the market for a 60GB unit, and asked her if they were running any promotions to get rid of them, and she said they just recently got an email. They are offering the same typical lineup of games for free...off the top of my head, it's Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Gengi, Resistance, F1, and another that I can't think of off the top of my head.

So, she called around and found one in stock for me, and I picked it up along with Heavenly Sword and God of War. Unfortunately it's been downloading the update very slowly for the past 20 minutes, and will probably take another 20, so I don't know how good it is yet.

Any idea what the update is for? I am still confused as to why they(Sony) want to get rid of the 60GB system...but hey whatever...

Well I just ordered a 60 GB bundle from Walmart.com!! I liked the choice of games(went with Resistance) being offered better with this deal plus the free remote vs. BB. Just wanted to say thanks to those who have posted in my other thread and helped me decide. I think the first game I will reserve is Unchartered. Also looking foward to the Blu-Ray experience!

I am having a hard time waiting for the shipments to arrive. Notice the word shipmentSSSS seems my game and blu ray remote will be arriving today while my actual system won't be here until the middle of next week. Wal-mart is so cruel. They're going to make me stare at the game and remote with nothing to play them on for 4-6 days.

I am waiting to see what is up at Amazon. They have been taking the 60gb away on and off again for the past couple of days. But as of now they are not showing any instock at all and haven't added any promos to the original price either.

Yeah I noticed that they stated different dates. I guess I will print off the coupon for the Blu-Ray to get that going as well. I paid for the 2-3 day mailing and they said it will arrive between 10/31-11/02. I have ordered a HDMI cord from Monoprice.com. So I am hoping by next Sat that I will have everything here. Hoping that 08 will bring some new exciting games!

I just got the 80gb at Circuit City, it was $499.00 plus a preselected game, Motorstorm. However, the 60gb was also $499.00 but you got to pick one game out of 5-6 preselected games. It didn't seem worth it to get the 60. At least not there.

You do know the 60gb has better backwards compatibility right?

My brother bought the 80 gig/motorstorm bundle + Lair as extra for 499$cdn in a futureshop yesterday. Different deal all around.

Funny because in this week futureshop flyer, they advertize the PS3 80gb for 659$ and just below the PS3 picture, it shows the XBox 360 Arcade Edition for 299$ with the games Hitman and Poker Championship.

I just picked up my second PS3. I ordered the 60g deal from Walmart. Best deal going on the net at least. Free game and remote control.

This is why I personally went with the 60GB over the 80GB.

I agree as well, if they(CC, BB, GameStop) offered the same games choices and a free remote, I would of gotten it local and had it this weekend. But I had to get a HDMI cord from Monoprice anyways....so I am hoping to have everything here by Sat 11/2. I am going to reserve Unchartered today, I am torn as to which system to get CoD4 on now.

I do now, I did not know that when I bought it. However, the more PS2 games that I try to play on it that are not compatible made me realize that.
