I have a Panasonic AE 900U and it is not in an hush box because it is so quiet. Unfortunately, it generates alot of heat and makes the theatre room stuffy. I do not have the theatre hvac zoned separately from the rest of the house.
I'm removing the large box the projector is currently in (the box was built for a much larger projector) and building a smaller box that will have an air intake and will vent outside of the theatre.
Assuming the fan is pulling air through a duct about 6' long, and that the air intake will be in the box, what type of fan should I purchase that is:
1. Quiet yet powerful enough to pull air through 6' of duct
2. Inexpensive
Also, my audio gear is in wooden rack, and though the gear doesn't overheat, it does generate heat that adds to the temp in the room. There is a small equipment room behind the rack, and I don't want to simply pull all of the warm air into that small room...it needs to be pulled through the rack and out of the equipment room. Based on the pictures provided of the rack and the small equipment room behind it, any exhaust fan recommendations, along with installation/design recommendations to pull the warm air out of the theatre and out of the equipment room behind it would be appreciated.
Also, any wiring instructions to automate the fans for when the system is in use would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
