hello everyone - i am new to the HT world, and I purchased the Epson powerlite 400 to get started. I'm looking for a good ceiling mount for the projector. I appreciate any help or tips you all can provide.
Thank you,
Jim

The forum sponsors like Projector People and others have ceiling mounts made by Chief and Peerless which work quite well. Others have bought mounts from MountDirect.com and some have even gotten the universal mount from another sponsor, Monoprice.com which is very inexpensive.
Then we have a few industrious DIYers who made their own mounts!
I picked up an Epson 400 a few months ago and use this flush mount with it. The mount works well and was the most reasonably priced one I could find that is well built - it is very heavy duty. The mounting arms are stretched to the limit with the 400 but it does work. There is hardly any space between the arms and the filter so you will have to take the mount off to clean it.

P.S. - Great choice on the Epson, I still can't get over how good the picture is.

Thank you very much for your responses. I think I have found a premier universal mount that will work.
I am looking forward to getting it all set up. I can't comment on the picture quality, but im hoping its as good as you say.
Thanks,
Jim
