Who in their right mind would pay $60 for 6 hours of gameplay?

Perhaps the biggest mark against Conan is its length. At around six hours, it's a pretty brief adventure. But a good deal of craft went into making all of the game's over-the-top violence look so great, and it's the kind of guilty pleasure you'll want to savor.
Didn't Gamespot also give R&C: TOD a 7.5 as well.
I don't mind the shorter play times some games are offering right now, since I don't have a lot of extra time. But I probably wouldn't purchase a game that short. Just rent it and finish it in a sitting or two.

Short campaigns like that are understandable for a game like CoD4 which has a huge multiplayer component too that you could play forever. But for a single player game with no online (which is what Conan is, I think), that's completely unacceptable.
Is there some massive sarcasm going on here that I'm missing

I paid $50 for double dragon, which had less than an hour of gameplay.

That places it at a little longer than many people spent finishing Heavenly Sword. Sony sure as heck hoped people would spend $60 for that title. Action games are getting shorter and shorter. And honestly they are repattive even at 6 hours. Better a quality 6 hours than another 2 hours oof levels where you do the same thing over and over and over...
$10 an hour if you enjoy each hour does not seem too bad IMHO.
actually, it took most people 6-8 hours to complete HS. there was a poll at beyond3d and most people chose 6-7 or 7-8 hours on normal difficulty and not many could finish it less. it took me about 6 hours on Normal and i would consider myself to be above average in tp action games.
Heavenly Sword fit perfect in the 7 hours of gameplay for me..I have no problems spending $60 on a game like Heavenly Sword...top notch game, IMO..
Not too sure about Conan though, read IGN's take...they say its about a 5 hour game and the last battle takes over an hour..not good.
Maybe in 6 months when I can get it on Ebay for $18...

can someone report why on earth one battle takes over an hour. that sounds more annoying than 5 hrs of gameplay.
I paid $50 for double dragon, which had less than an hour of gameplay.
So true!! Well worth every penny. :D
I'll probably rent it and beat it. That will equate to about $0.75/hr.
