Looking for "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" on the following setup:
Panasonic PT-AE2000U (1080p)
FireHawk SST Luxus Deluxe 110"
Ceiling mounted 12' from the screen
Room is 22 feet long and 14 feet wide
2 rows that sit about 16' and 21' feet from the screen (10" high)
Walls are eggshell dark red; ceiling and front wall are flat black
Dedicated room--light controlled
Thanks in advance.
So thumbs down, huh? Thank you for your input.
My biggest concern is the 12 foot throw...the cables are in the wall. So the SST seemed like the best idea...
What kind of pj? And what kind of room?
No problem. After months of research and looking at screens, I decided on Stewart. I myself am actually going to buy the UltraMatte 150 110" 16:9.
How does the Carada Brilliant White compare to the UltraMatte 150? Both come in 110". I hear that the Brilliant White handles low ambient light well. How about the UM150? From a value standpoint, the BW is about 1/3 the price.

i am also looking at the carada, when you say 110 are you talking total or viewing area? has anyone seen the carada bw ? the stewarts ars just so expensive..
I'm going to get the Panasonic PT-AE2000u. I'll be hanging black blankets on the walls and ceiling.
I've been thinking aout doing the same thing - do you have any recommendations/methodologies, or is it more of just get it done some way type of thing...
I think that the ambient light created by the PJ and my "yellow" walls and white ceiling are really impairing me a bit right now..

From a value standpoint, the Carada BW is w/o a doubt a much better choice. The BW is very similar to the ST130 in performance. Keep in mind, the ST130 is pretty much the industry standard, but it's certainly no value. With that said, you will get about .2 more gain with the UM150 over the BW. At 1/3 the price, the CBW is a much better value and a good overall screen choice.
