Ok, so a few months back my TV started tripping out with blinking, flickering and sometimes would have colorful lines all over the screen. Sometimes it would just go black all together. When anything like this happens, it won't let me turn it off...I'd always have to unplug it. Sometimes when I first turn it on, the screen looks perfect for about 15-30 minutes and then it'll start tripping again. The last time I was watching it, the whole screen turned red with the outlines of the show in black.

I bought it about 2 years ago and it was an open box. Luckily I got the full warrenty with it. I thought it was just the bulb (please excuse my ignorance) but the guys that came pick it up said that it was probably something more. Anybody have any idea's on what it could be?

What if they (TV repair people) turn the TV on and it works for 30 minutes or however long they test it, will they be able to use some kind of diagnostic test to find the problem? I'd hate for them to turn it on and it works fine the whole time and I get my TV back without them finding the problem.

Bet it's digital module, not light engine.

So is that a big problem? Can it be fixed?

BTW, I'll let you know what it was when they figure it out.

Thanks for the reply, man!

Easy module swap. Easier than ight engine swap.

heh...So I called them yesterday and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They still haven't gotten back to me since, so I sure hope that they figured it out.
