Okay, I know this is a rather pointless post but I've always wondered about this. I stumbled upon my family's long retired 27" 1988 RCA ColorTrak 2000 CRT and it has an input titled "EIA MULTIPORT - STEREO" that looks exactly like a female SCART input. It has always puzzled me as to why a NTSC U.S. set has what appears to be SCART.
Is it a SCART input? Was SCART ever utilized in America?
