Hey guys. This is my first post in the remote area, and I could really use your guys help. My remotes have gotten totally out of control and I need to get my first universal remote, but I am totally clueless on this subject. The Harmony remotes seem to be the company of choice here, so which one should I go with? I like the look of the 1000, but I am open to whatever you guys suggest. Thanks so much for the help! For frame of reference, my current set up is:

Integra 9.8 Pre/Pro
Emotiva MPS-1 Amp
Dali Helicon 400 Fronts
Dali Helicon C200 Center Channel
Dali Ikon In-Walls Surrounds
SVS PB-13 Ultra Sub
Velodyne SMS-1 (Sub EQ)
Samsung 5067 DLP
Directv HR20 HD DVR
Denon 2910 for CD/SACD/DVD-Audio
Pionner Elite 95FD Blu Ray Player
Toshiba A35 HD DVD Player
XBOX 360
Nintendo Wii
Balanced Power Technology HCPC
All cables and power cords upgraded from Signal Cable

I've got the Harmony 1000 and with the RF wireless extender it's a great solution. BUT I think the 890 is a lot more bang for the buck...gives you the same RF in the base system (Harmony 1000 doesn't come with RF off the bat) and it's tough to use the DVR functions (Ffwd) on a touch screen...hard buttons make it easier to feel your way through the right moment to play back.

I'd go with the 890. Even if you have direct line of sight to your components, the RF extender allows you to not have to point the remote at your components while firing off commands. From the looks of your setup spending a little more for the 890 over the 880 won't break your bank. You'll pay a lot more for the 1000 plus RF than you will for the 890 package. I'd only get the 1000 if you really really love its interface.
