I am in the planning stage of my multipurpose room. I am thinking on mounting my Infocus 7210 in a Chief Sl-150 projector lift from the ceiling. I want to throw a 106" diag. image. Throw distance is highly flexible at this point (room is not built yet). The 7210 has a fixed offset (16% I believe) and I am trying to figure out exactly where the Chief SL-150 will place the lens relative to the ceiling. This is important as I have to order the screen (Da-Lite tensioned advantage electrol) and I need to let Da-Lite know if I need additional (custom) top drop to adjust for the lens position beyond the standard 12" top drop it comes with.
I figure the image height is 52" and the offset will put the top of the image 8.32" below the lens position. But where will the lens position be relative to the ceiling?? Looking at the Chief website, it looks like about 3-5" inches:

so 12" may or may not be enough top drop. Da-Lite states that it is NOT good to have extra screen length wound up on the roller for tensioned screens, and so I should try and be exact with the top drop order. Anybody with experience installing or using the Chief SL-150 mount who can tell me where the lens will end up (or where the bottom of the PJ will be) relative to the ceiling?
thanks,
