Saw a 15 second promo for The Bourne Supremecy Sunday night on NBC. The promo was in HD and looked great, I was wondering if the movie would be in HD too? NBC's schedule on NBC.com does not have the HDTV marker by it...I would love to see any of the Bourne movies in HD, especially 1080i.

Why is there no SNF game? Didn't even notice the gap when I looked over NBC's NFL schedule at the beginning of the season.

btw, The Incredibles is listed on NBC's site to air on Thanksgiving night. How did they get that deal from ABC? That's another one I would love to see in HD.

It's HD in the channel guide that TV Guide provides to Comcast (thankfully this is the last day that I have to deal with Comcast :))

I have ZERO interest in watching a butchered/edited for TV, showing of ANY theatrical movie...even if it's in HD.

I agree. I haven't watched a theatrical movie butchered up on commercial TV in decades. Doesn't matter if it's in HD or not; eventually it will come to HBO or Showtime, and the DVD's are always available by the time it would air. Can't understand why any movie lover would do so.

watching an edited movie on tv still gives you an idea if it's worth purchasing or not, for instance I was glad I watched the first POTC and didn't blind buy the dvd.

The many times I've seen "butchered" movies on network television and then seen them on DVD, I rarely see a scene that I felt hurt the movie by being edited out. A lot of movies these days have a lot of padding.

If it's in HD, I'll record it and take out the commercials. Well, maybe not, our local NBC station has HD that looks like the original mpg1.

And both Identity and Supremacy are out on HD pre-recorded formats - I have them both on HD-DVD.

The movie has a green cast to it. I called a friend and he is seeing the same thing...

HD on both KNBC-DT OTA Los Angeles and KNSD-DT OTA San Diego.

I only see green tint on the underwater and night scenes.

Many of the night scenes have a green cast to them. They did in the theater too. It's probably from the available light they shot with (mercury vapor street lighting will cause this).

Green cast? That seems to be a fad nowadays in Hollywood. They add it in post probably with color curves or specific filters. It seems to be popular in suspense and horror films as well as on TV shows. It may be becoming overdone like the "soft" filters Hollywood was using 20 or 30 years ago that got overdone.

It used to be that color casts were totally undesirable. If there was fluorescent or mercury vapor light around they'd do everything they could to filter it so everything would look like daylight. Now it's acceptable to allow ugly light in. I think it's more realistic if done properly, although some TV shows are taking it way too far.
