Hi All

I have got a Yamaha HTR 5940 Receiver and was just wondering, would it work well with the following speaker (wich I already have) :

Two Polk Audio Monitor 60 &
Two Polk Audio Monitor 40

When installed, an error message shows up (check SP Wires).. were chequed and replaced everything looks fine, tweeters were burned out, replacement came from Polk Audio but.. I do not want to touch it again till receive a professional opinion.

Not sure what you're asking.

Did you replace the tweeters yourself? Are you just looking for a "warm fuzzy" that it's okay to hook everything back up?

Most troubleshooting is best done by a process of elimination. Divide and conquer. In this case, you have three components. The receiver, the speaker wires and the speakers themselves. If the problem isn't fairly obvious, you can test each component on it's own to determine the problem. Hook a speaker to a known good source with a short piece of wire, or use the battery test. Wires can be tested with an inexpensive ohmmeter. The receiver can be checked with a known good speaker.

If the parts work individually, they should work together.
