I used brackets from CC (Omni) for on a 46" Mitsu LCD for about $199 and it works. I believe the one for 60" is around $250. Just make sure it is rated for the weight and you do a VERY good job of securing it to the wall!!!
2) Surge Protected Outlet for the wall? Which one and where from?
I use Panamax for my projector. See link :http://test.panamax.com/Products/In-Wall/MIW-POWER-PRO.aspx
3) HDMI cables, Monster or any others?
How long of a run? This will make a difference on 1080p sources. If it is 10ft or less, Monoprice is good enough. If it is more, I would go to DVI Gear and get one of their cables (http://www2.dvigear.com/hdmihdmicables.html)
If you are running it behind a wall, I would spend more and get their SHR cable to be sure the cable supports enough bandwidth. It is a lot more costly to find out a cable does not work after the install. If it is not behind a wall, I would get the DVI Gear and Monoprice and check them both to see which works the best. If they both work, send the DVI Gear back. You will know if there is a problem when you see "sparklies" across your screen. Play a dark movie in a completely dark room and see if you see any sparklies across your sceen, if not, you are good to go. 1080p signal quality is affected by your source and receiving (6010FD) device. Some sources output a lower signal and have problems transmitting longer distances.
4) Need to buy a receiver as well, any suggestions....
What's your budget? What speakers do you have? Onkyo 605, 705 or Pioneer Elite VSX91 or 92 depending on the number of HDMI inputs you need, I would suggest the Pioneer VSX92 as a minimum. It is quite a nice piece and will work well with you Pioneer TV. With the two Pioneers, I believe you will be able to get volume control on screen display and some other capabilities through SR+ or CEC.
Be sure to set up what ever AVR you choose as pass through with regard to any video processing. The 6010FD will do a much better job than almost all receivers, so you don't want the receiver doing any video processing, just switching.
I am setting up this exact combo (6010FD and VSX92) for my Brother-in-law in two weeks. He is just waiting for his basement to be finished.

dssturbo1 10-27-07, 11:06 PM contrats on the 6010 execellent choice.
monoprice.com has a couple options for a wall mount, very good prices and you can get the cables from them as well, lots of selection, good solid well built cables at excellent prices. would check sites like standsandmounts for other wall mount options from chief, peerless and others, most regular solid or tilt type wall mounts will be in the $100-200 range. and it would be nice to have two other guys to help you when you set it up.
also some have mentioned using a Sanus vmdd26 mount which is an articulating arm mount, nice solid mount that pulls out approx 24 inches and tilts, swings side to side, probably in the $400+ range.
Zerosurge.com or Brickwall.com make good Series Mode surge protectors used at the outlet, approx. ~$200 and a whole house surge protector as CC mentions is a good idea as the first starting point.
avr--pioneer, denon, yamaha, onkyo/integra, sony, H/K. lots of choices, your budget range?
seabreeze82 10-28-07, 12:22 AM Thanks everyone..... HTSteve, I don't have a budget for the receiver....BTW is it a receiver I am looking for or a Home Theater Amplifier? ........ I don't want to spend too much.... I just checked the price of the VSX92!!! That's way too pricey for me! Which means I do have a budget after all!.... Okay so I need a Home Theater Reciever set up....... The 6010FD is going in my bedroom, so I will also need speakers.... I saw quite a few Home Theater set ups, from Bose to Sony...... What do you suggest? Budget, I suppose $600 max.... Unless you laugh at me, and tell me ...NO WAY! then I suppose I will be able to stretch it to $999! ......
The Sanus swing arm mount, I don't think a TV this size should be on a swing arm? as eventually the weight will get the better of the arm..... I think a tilt mount will be Okay.... I can get the one that Pioneer sells PWM-6121, which they say is made for the 6010FD and the 150 Elite. Can you tell me what you think of it? And if you don't like it, why u don't like it?
HTSteve, are you allowed to tell me where and how much you bought the 6010FD for? if not can you PM me? I still have not ordered it, am concerned about online dealers......Thanks
I recently purchased a PDP-6010FD Plasma TV from Beach Camera, an online retailer and I cannot manage to get the picture to look entirely right. When the picture is focused on a person or thing up close, the picture is very clear. But when it pans away the person or thing then looks blurry.
So for example, when watching a sporting event in HD on ESPN, an up-close shot of a player lets say shooting a free throw in a basketball game is very clear, but when the picture pans out to show the entire court with everyone playing, it is blurry.
I have played with the picture settings and even had someone from Tweeter try to get the settings right, but it still remains blurry. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions on how to fix this? I spent a lot of money on this TV and I really expect the picture to be nearly perfect, so any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

John,
What type of connection are you using? Component or HDMI? How do you have it connected? What type of source(s) are you using?
Chris
