FOX must be having problems (at least where I'm at). The game is not in HD and black bars are appearing on the side. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me? Before the audio dropped out during The OT and sometimes the picture just went completely blank for a few minutes. My source for HDTV is cable (WideOpenWest).

You are correct no HD feed in Chicago area....

WFLD-DT in Chicago is having problems. Ota and via cable or satellite. It's their problem, it's not on your end.

No problem here, altho the main camera view (behind pitcher) still shows grainy bricks & backdrops in general. Grass does look good, as someone mentioned last nite. Overall pretty typical Fix broadcast, pretty good, but I've seen better (TBS MLB playoff games)

Comcast cable, WFXTD out of Boston. Game 3 PQ was great, but tonight we're back to the flashing sparkles during closeups seen earlier in the series.

Yes both my Comcast HD DVR and my OTA feed off my HR10-250 are not HD. Damn FOX Chicago. They sux.

I'm not getting HD signal either. I'm in the Chicago area, watching with an antenna. Other network programming all in full HD.

Absolutely awful picture quality. I've never seen HD with so much graininess. OTA in Norfolk, VA.

I saw this game in HD from DirecTv at a Magnolia home theater store tonight and the noise was playing complete havoc on the MPEG encoding. I assume it was a MPEG 2 channel. The OTA from KTTV-DT HD looks far better.

6 outs from the win and we get A-Rod all the time. Give it up Fox. Bring us the damn series in TRUE HD without this garbage!!!!!!! If you want to be a real network you sure aren't proving it here with the audio and video we're getting.

FOX has a couple of good shows. Outside of that, they're awful. All their networks. Just awful. They don't even care enough about baseball fans to put on a good show.

Dammit fox! Im watching fox via OTA and Directv. WFLD really needs to take there HD channel seriously as it looks the worst out of all the hd channels in chicago land. Now no HD for game 4. Shame on WFLD!

just got this in an e-mail from a friend...

They had a transmitter failure right about 6 PM...came back on the air just before 7 PM, in standard def. A call to their newsroom from an AVS Forum member revealed that their HD equipment was also knocked out (sounds like a power surge!). The game tonight was shown in SD, and future programs will be until it is repaired, ETA unknown (hopefully tonight).

If you want keep your where abouts unknown I highly suggest that one never attend a baseball game broadcast by FOX, I think they have showed a close up of everyone at the stadium tonight. :)

I like how when FOX uses the virtual strike zone, which has been sponsored by Budweiser for games 3 and 4 that right above the Budweiser advert in the picture is the Coors Field sign.

If the Red Sox win another championship in the near future I truly hope they can win one at Fenway. The Sox fans deserve that and I think it would be magical to see a World Series clinched at Fenway. Maybe the NL could win a All Star game sometime soon.

Great game. I watched it at a friends who only had a 27" analog TV via OTA. The feed was very snowy but we put up with it. I watched the pastgame in HD when I got home though

The game looked very bad to me. Lots of grain and stuttering here in Alexandria, VA. The Grain is not new but the stuttering was. Why can the Pats football game look good, but the baseball game look so bad? It's like NBC was doing the game.

Bad day for NY sports in general :( (not a Giants fan). Game looked ok on D*, but too many promos interfering w/ game action. Fox could have plugged House on the green screen behind home plate. The instrusive ads have got to stop.

FOX has the World Series through 2013 and will have the ALCS in odd numbered years until 2013. FOX will cover the NLCS in even numbered years. TBS will have the ALCS in even numbered years and the NLCS in odd numbered years.

Yeah, I had hoped A-Rod would stay with the Yankees, their a lot easier to hate with him. And to echo what Steve said, nobody wants him here in Boston and everyone will be angry if they don't resign Lowell.
