I had heard that using a curved screen can adversely affect the sound in a home theater. I believe they said that the sound gets reflected back into the center of the room. Is there any truth to this?

Thanks,
Ken

This can happen. You will hear slap back echo depending on the placement of your speakers. Not an issue if using AT cloth material and not an issue if placing your spkrs behind a AT curved screen.
I have had several curved screens over the years and never had this issue with the curve in one direction only "horizontal" but on all parabolic curved screens they were like a big reflector, if you are in the right seating position would also throw any talking right back at you.

So the Stewart Screen curve screen would be parabolic?

The Stewart Torus would be Parabolic, curved t/b.

These are horizontal only.
