Hi there,
Has anyone experienced any problems with reduced signal strength/quality when an external HDD is plugged in to the mac mini? I plugged my eSATA ext hdd thru usb and copied 2gb+ of data across to the mini's internal drive. During this time and until I unplugged the hdd and restarted eyeTV the signal quality for one of the tuners (i use it in dual tuner mode) went to zero. As a side note I bought one of the 4gamers single unit wii charging remote stations.
On plugging this thing in (even just the usb to usb-mini lead that comes with it), the display goes blank and says no-input! The only way to get my mac mini back is to hold the power button for a few seconds to force a reboot could be a faulty cable I guess cos I tested my external hdd in all usb ports and it seems fine (apart from the signal quality issue above!!!)
Anyone had either of these problems too? Apart from that I have to say I am very happy with my set-up now after buying my mini on friday with leopard!
Cheers,
Mart
