View Full Version : Select HD DVD's $16.99 on Black Friday
Checked out the FYE black Friday add. Wish we knew which titles they will have for that price.
http://www.black-friday.net/ad/fye-black-friday.html
Found the titles:
Dawn of the Dead (HD-DVD)
Friday Night Lights (HD-DVD)
Meet the Parents (HD-DVD)
Shaun of the Dead (HD-DVD)
The Deer Hunter (HD-DVD)
Van Helsing (HD-DVD)
The nice thing about supporting a niche format like HDM is that the movies wont be picked over by the people waiting in line. I should be able to walk into FYE at 10 AM on Black Friday and get what I want. ;)

You can get these at Fry's for $19.95 at anytime. But I guess its cool for those who do not have a Fry's near home.
Megalith 10-29-07, 08:08 PM ZzzZzzzZzz.
Arpeggi 10-29-07, 08:15 PM I can get those on amazon for $17.99 anytime. Like just right now, I bought Dawn of the Dead. Done.

I appreciate your post but 16.99 doesn't seem like much of a bargain when you consider the bargain is for Black Friday.
mrigsby 10-29-07, 08:18 PM Ignore the idiots above who don't appreciate this...thanks for the heads up...come across anything else, let us know
Thanks
Another thanks for the heads up :). I posted several months back on speculation of "Black Friday" deals with little or no response. It is going to be interesting to see what else we can come up with.

You guys want a cookie or something? Just giving updates to anyone looking at BF sales. If it doesn't interest you, then don't read it. The title is enough info to make the decision of - to click or not to click.
ricwhite 10-29-07, 08:58 PM That's not really a very good deal. I paid $9 plus change each for 10 BD movies just a week ago when they had the B1G1. (And I don't even own a BD player ) IMO, a good deal would be anything under $12 each.
JaylisJayP 10-29-07, 09:00 PM meh

Did I say it was the best deal ever? nope.
I take it you want a cookie too? By the way scroll up to the top of this thread and you will see that this is in the HD DVD Software section, not the Blu-Ray Software section.
Arpeggi 10-29-07, 09:26 PM Actually, yes, I'd like a cookie. Anything would be better than this "deal".

Actually $17.99 is NOT better than $16.99.
Arpeggi 10-29-07, 10:02 PM $16.99 + tax + waiting in line on Black Friday is NOT better than $17.99 shipped and received this Thursday.

Ok, then don't buy them at FYE on Black Friday. If it's not a deal for you why bother responding? Bored?
Arpeggi 10-29-07, 10:12 PM Yeah I'm bored. Bored of reading about these "deals".

I didn't know you'd take it so personal. I was not even being rude so I dunno why your responding that way. Anyway, I'm simply saying that you don't have to wait that long to get some pretty good HD-DVD films at a reasonable prices.

Then don't read them, the price is in the subject of the thread. Nobody made you click, read or respond. Pretty much common sense.
GMan4911 10-29-07, 10:25 PM What you do is buy the $50 gift cards to get the $10 bonus gift card then use the gift cards to buy the HD DVDs to make the price effectively 20% off or $13.60 per title.

Sorry about that, get a little jumpy sometimes. Most of my forum experience is on political debate forums and you have to go straight for the jugular over there lol. ::calming::

Now there's some good info.

Yes, chocolate chip, please.

Don't get too defensive. My point was that just recently there were BOGO deals on HD media that were much better. I appreciate your heads up on the FYE sale, but I'm sure there will be much better deals going on around Black Friday.

So people who point out the deal is not that good, and there are better deals to be had are idiots? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and consider your comment a brain fart.

Thank you for your self-centered response. Not everyone has access to whatever discount you're using, so how about you either post how to get that price, or quit thread crapping?

I think he probably meant for those that posted:
"I can get those on amazon for $17.99 anytime. Like just right now, I bought Dawn of the Dead. Done."
and
"ZzzZzzzZzz"
those are comments that usually get muttered by "mentally hadicapped" people. Your comment made some sense. For black-Friday, it probably should be a little lower...
