FYI if you're looking for an HDMI cable in Canada and there's a Apple store near you, you can pickup an HDMI cable for 29.99. Sure it's a bit more than online or from a computer store BUT it's not a hassle if you need to exchange it or return it if it's not working/changed mind.
I've used it to connect an upconverting DVD player to my Samsung plasma (4264) and am currently using it with my xbox360.
The cable is 2 meters long = 6.6 feett

PS Apple store also sells a Monster Branded cable for 2.5x the price!! Avoid it!

so wait... paying almost TEN TIMES the price of monoprice is "okay" but paying 2.5 times the price of one at the apple store to get a monster is not ok?

What is the matter with you? How can you not understand that? LOL ;)

Maybe ali1800 wasn't aware of monoprice.com and thought they were doing a good thing. Well at least I hope that is what was going on.

Funny, I paid under $10.00 for my 6ft cable Monoprice cable that functions equally as well.

I'm aware of monoprice, but living it Canada has it's downside. We get clunked with taxes on top of taxes. A $5 cable will turn into $20+ after shipping, Canadian Taxes, duty and brokerage fees. BTW the taxes are calculated on top of duty
I'm not espousing that HDMI cable's should be bought only at the Apple store just that it's relatively cheaper than Best Buy, Futureshop, the Source (by Circuit City), EB, and department stores and there is the convenience of returning it/exchanging without hassle. And if the site isn't lying ()they are spec'd ok: http://www.xtrememac.com/audio/av_cables/hdmi/comparison_chart.php

As the header indicates this is only an FYI not a commandment :)

But Formulanerd has a point, it is a disservice to my fellow canucks not to mention: monoprice is cheaper and if someone were to buy in greater quantities (2,3 or more?) it would be very worthwhile.

That's strange. I live in Canada, ordered from Monoprice and didn't pay a cent in taxes, duty or brokerage fees. My order was under $20 though, so that may be why.

There will be no brokerage because it is sent USPS. There is no duty. Also, there is no tax because it is under $30. Order from Monoprice - you won't be disappointed!;)

I am also from canada, purchased a 6ft monoprice hdmi cable for 6.79 shipped, in canadian dollars, thats like 5 dollars.

Monoprice always has the best prices, except occassionly I locate a better deal, the 35feet hdmi cable for my projector was purchased through eforcity since it was about 5 dollars cheaper. There stuff is also good.

I'm going to assume you never purchase from monoprice based on all your misleading information regarding shipping and taxes. No taxes, or duties. Considering monoprice was the best deal aroundeven before the dollar went above par it is even a better deal now. To buy anywhere else seems crazy unless you need it immediately.

I must agree! I've been buying product from Monoprice for at least a couple of years now. They simplt can't be beat! Excellent prices & decent delivery timeframes. It's a win-win.
