Unless you live on the West Coast, this thread will mean little to you. Fred Meyer's is a chain of stores similiar to Target, except they also include full grocery and lawn/garden sections. Today I stopped in and noticed they were stocking Transformers, 300, Evan Almighty, and Top Gun on HD DVD. Titles were at $34.99 with the exception of Top Gun at $22.99. Strangely enough they mixed the titles in with the regular DVD's. The discovery was purely accidental.

I was wondering when that was going to happen.

I'll check my store when I grocery shop this weekend.

On our last trip to the USA for a little shopping, we stopped into the Burlington location of Fred Meyer. The clerk was helpful when I asked if they carry HD DVDs, but the idea was a little new to him as he explained the way the discs were merchandised. It is actually funny to hear things like "oh, H Dee Dee Vee Dee, is that what you are after?" "We have very, very, very few titles available", etc. Upon scanning their entire DVD section, I found ONE Blu Ray title, can't remember what it was as I was after HD DVD only.:)

I do like the store though, everything you could want under one roof, even cold beer!!:D

I bought my 360 addon and 300 HD-DVD at Fred Meyer way back in August.
