Couldn't find a Season 3 thread on Bones.

How great was last night's Halloween episode? Seeing Bones dressed up as Wonder Woman was great. It was nice to see her character in touch with that small bit of pop culture. If that Wonder Woman movie ever does get made, Emily Deschanel would be a perfect candidate for it. Loved that twirl at the end, an homage to the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman TV series.:D

I wasn't a big fan of the show when it first started, but I really started enjoying it in Season 2. Season 3 has been great so far. I hope there are others out there watching it like me.

I liked last night’s show a lot, too. It was off-the-wall silly, which was all right. After all, how serious can they be when the heroes are dressed like Wonder Woman and a nerd-dweeb, and the villainous serial killer is a clown? :)

Bones doesn't get much play here for some reason. I like the show, though I think S2's writing was more clever so far.

Booth's squint/nerd costume was classic too. Buttoned all the way up checkered shirt, too short beige pants, pocket protector with pens, tape in the middle on a pair of glasses. :D
Wonder Woman and NerdBoy out on a case dressed up!

To contrast with the previous episode where she didn't get Booth's "smarter than a 5th grader" joke. And the new PI was quite amusing "smelled like the wind in the trees...".

I hope they wrap up the personal storyline FAST, especially the Hodges/Angela one, which is soooooo tedious/ The ep where he was fawning over the explosives "expert" (how the hell do folks become subject matter experts for national organizations at the age of 27??) was particularly painful. They need to find that samoan guy and close that storyline forever. Even the wierd occult over-arc they keep around is more interesting. And they need to jump off the fence with Bones/Booth. I know they are trying for a Mulder/Scully smoldering sexual tension, but it is way too obvious and there appear to be no reasons why they shouldn't jump in the sack. Booth has already slept with a member of the squint squad and Bones has slept with a friend of Booth. Everytime they share an "awkward" moment my wife and I scream "Just get ON with it!!", and not in a hopeful, excited way. More of a pissed off "why don't they just kill the damned Others" way (which is why we tuned out Lost after season 2).

The name of the young actress who played the delightful PI is Azura Skye. Despite how good she was in her Bones appearance she was awful as a Ukrainian patient on a House episode a couple of weeks ago. She is a beauty and proved in her Bones appearance that she can be charming in the right roles. Nevertheless, somebody needs to warn her to stay away from parts that require foreign accents.

She's busy, just saw her name pop up as a guest star on Ghost Whisperer tonight, haven't seen her yet, but saw her name.

So, in other words destroy all that most of us like about the show. Didn't you notice that once the Mulder/Scully thing was 'resolved' that the show fell apart. It's a show about the interaction of the characters, if you want a procedural just go watch a CSI or L&O.
I think for Booth and Bones to 'consummate' their relationship would mean they would have to admit more than they want. Booth puts up the front for the noble FBI man, with a troubled past, that would need 'forgiveness' for which he doesn't think he can as from Bones. Bones who is consumed about being logical and separate from emotion due to her troubled past, would have to admit that she can have real feelings, and that she can take the leap to have someone other than her responsible for he emotional well being.
It's the tensions that keep the show interesting (along with so many other show that were doomed when the 'issues' were finally resolved). If their are no conflicts then what is the show about?
I also like how both Hodges and Angela deal with their relationship. The question is will the come out better or worse. Last season when Hodges started his pursuit I wondered, but, it seems that he's someone who actually groks her and she is actually appreciative of it.
I though most good relationships/stories were a bit more nuanced that 'Me Tarzan, You Jane'.

I saw virtually all of the Buffy series but I don’t remember Skye. That shouldn’t be surprising, though, considering how many young, pretty, and talented, actresses it provided work for over the years.

She was in a final season episode of Buffy, fooling Willow into thinking she was in communication with her dead girlfriend Tara.
I saw Azura Skye was also a guest star on last night's new episode of "Ghost Whisperer"

Not much chatter here, but I am really enjoying this show more and more, as I think this show is really hitting its stride and is having its best episodes of the entire series. It does seem to help have a continuity story arc in the Gormagon murders, but I think the supporting characters in the show have really helped make the show much better.

Season 2 improved with Tamara Taylor being added as Dr. Saroyan, and I love John Francis Daley as Dr. Sweets, who I read was being added as a regular, or at least as a recurring character. I'm also glad to see Patricia Belcher in her recurring role as the sassy US attorney, Ms. Julian.

I've watched the first 2 seasons of Bones on DVD and TV. I was hooked on season 1. I caught a few eps on TV on season 2 plus the DVDs. While it got better, it also got worse. The other FBI love interest fell flat and the relationship took a vacation. Bones 3 has been ok-good. It's still very entertaining, but the best writing (dialog) so far has been S1...S3 with the long story arc has promise, but the writing is not as tight. Tough to get in rhythym with this strike. Good thing is, it's not going anywhere.

Real good episode last night. Good ending. Although I had some audio issues last night, sounded like a tunnel at times.

My wife and I started busting out laughing when she said "Just because I have breasts doesn't mean that I have some magical powers."

It is getting better, mainly because they have shed most of the Hodges/Angela crap. Ugh, the PI chick was the worst (not bad looking, but a terrible low for the show, "I'm told I have alabaster skin..." how much worse can it get?).

Anyhoo, my wife and I like to predict the "killer". With almost 100% accuracy the THIRD "new" character with lines turns out to be the true killer. Try it, the writers have patterned themselves unknowningly, I think.

The Mason stuff is cool, I wonder how researched it all is. I'm working on a theory that the psychiatrist guy is the (one of) killer, since it seems at least one is a teen boy. Sweets might change to be a regular though if they drop that angle.

As for Booth/Bones, I think they are way too attracted to maintain the Scully/Mulder tension. Those two had few if any intimate scenes, while Bone and Booth seem to "almost kiss" practically every episode. Not to mention that there are almost no taboos against them hooking up, since Booth slept with the pathologist and Angela and Hodges are paired up. Not saying that the show would be better off if they did consumate, it is just the endless "are they or aren't they" moments are not being handled well by the writers.

Anyway, the show is supposed to be about solving deaths, so having EVERY character deal with personal issues distracts from that. Remember when Bones spent all her free time IDing MIAs? Or when Hodges was super-rich? Or when Booth was a war vet? THOSE are issues I want to see expounded, not gooey romances. Perhaps they are going for a different demographic than me :P

The shrink is already listed as a regular - he's in the opening credits right after Bones, Booth, and the rest of the squints.

It was after the episode was over when they were showing scenes when it comes back in January. Booth hands her a baby and that's when she said it.

Hah, it worked for this episode as well! The first character was the landlord, the second was Al from Die Hard, and the third was the Santa who killed...Santa. Anyway, try it, makes watching the episodes much more fun.

Of course the big, honkin' shiner the guy had was a dead give-away too. ;)

Yeah, even I could figure out who the killer was, and I didn't even have to smell santa's ass.

I missed something in the Santa episode:

So was Kris Kringle a pickpocket? Or was it just the killer Santa? Why did K.K. have all those small bills hidden in the secret compartment in the drawer?

In somewhat of a surprise, Fox announced today that it has ordered more episodes of "Bones" for this season.

They will be shown beginning Monday, April 14 at 8 PM ET/PT.

So Monday at 8 will be the new (for now at least) time period, followed by "House", which will begin new episodes on April 28.

I think this is the most active and current, and should have the "in HD" on the title...

Seeing those motorcycle races on HD was great, big obvious Speed channel product placement.

I liked the mud fight between the couples, the one that crack me up was "Sweets" getting hammered by the girlfriend all over his face..
