Hi , im thinking of getting a video processor to help aid in picture quality on my setup. Im also looking at the DVDO line because of the great reviews and fair prices. I dont know which to choose from and how benefitial it will be to me. For instance , i have a ps3 hooked up to my jvc hd70fh96 , 1080i and the TV upconverts to 1080p , now if i had a DVDO hooked up will i notice a difference. Any help is much appreciated , thanx Chris

Well your JVC already has some mosquito noise reduction and it takes a 1080i input, so it's hard to say how much you will gain with a VP. I guess it depends on how good of a de-interlacer your tv has. I would recommend getting the HQV benchmark DVD/HD-DVD/Blu-Ray and run through the exercises to see if the VP benefits are worth it or not. If you see lots of jaggies and poor scrolling text, it could be worth it, otherwise be happy that you tv has some nice built-in features.

If your JVC will alow for 1:1 pixel mapping I think that A vp50 or vp50pro would do a better job than the internal de-interlacer in your TV + the VP gives more control over your picture adjustments. BUT if your TV cant except pixel mapping you may not see A big differance especialy with HDM. Plus it depend's on how sensitive you are to jaggies and other factor's, I no they annoy the heck out of me and I also hate jerky panning so my vp50pro is an assential part of my video chain, that improves my picture quality and my vewing pleasure....
