I have a average setup with a 27'' tube TV, a Sony GameSync sound system, a Sony DVD / VCR Combo, a Comcast Motorola DVR, and a Nintendo Wii connected to my setup.

I purchased a Monster Power Home Theatre PowerCeneter w/ a clean power filter and 1850 joule surge protection. Cost me $79 at Best Buy. It also protects my cable line from surges.


Is it worth having a surge strip of this quality on a basic setup like mine? What benefits will I see over a standard $30 Belkin surge strip?
