Is it OK to have 4 ohm speakers in the front and 8 ohm speakers everywhere else in a 5.1 surround system?

Yes, you can have any ohm speaker in any location of your surround sound system as long as your receiver or amp can handle the lowest ohm load.

For me right now in my 5.1 system, all of my speakers are 8 ohm with the exception of my rears which are 4 ohm.
