THe buttons on my 880 are becoming increasingly non-responsive (meaning I need to press pretty hard to get them to work). I've read over in remote central, that opening the remote and using a can on compressed air to clean the contact generally helps, but I can't figure out how to open the remote. I removed the 2 obvious screws, and also removed the sticker behind the battery to see if another screw is there, but there isn't. I just can't open the remote after that. Does anyone know?
Thanks!

Yes I know, but unless you are a tech and very careful, you may ruin the remote.
Of course if it's warranty get them to replace it. For me the ship to Canada and cost, made me decide to fix it myself. I have been in the Broadcast business 30 yrs, so I went at it.
After you take out the 2 Phillips screws, us a plastic tool "motorola makes them for opening up cell phone" looks like a wedge. A screwdriver may work but you will leave marks. There is 3 or 4 plastic latches on each side.
Repairing the button problem is a whole other story. These are tactile metal buttons secured with a sticky glue. I had to remove the lcd assembly and carefully peel the buttons back. I then slightly used a white eraser very lightly on the pc contacts. Blew the residue away with compressed air. I then added a touch of stabillant 22 on each contact.
It worked but I must say, be very careful if you attempt this.
Just trying to spray won't get to those contacts.
