I was just wondering if it would be "green" of me to power down my HT when not in use? I have a Sony Pearl, power conditioner, receiver, 2 dvd player, HD player, HD Terr. Tuner, and two powered subs all sucking juice 24/7. I usually use the theater maybe once a week and sometimes once every other week. Would it make sense to connect the power conditioner (which has no off switch) to a surge protector and when not in use just turn off the power on the surge? Also, I thought I read somewhere in the manual, that said that if the Pearl wasn't in use for more than 5 days, you should unplug it?? I could be definitly wrong though....

Don't know the answer for YOU, but idle power costs the US 4 billion a year.
