A side note in the XBOX magazine said the studio said its 50/50.

I'm guessing if they don't get the rights to the NFL they wont be back. (Maybe even if they do...)

Can't say I was impressed at all with All Pro. All the commentary was rehashed from 2K5 and the movement of the players was awful.

Thats a shame but it doesnt matter I will still be playing it probably 2 years from now..As long as they dont shut the servers off and I dont think they will...I really think they killed themselves releasing it in the same timeframe as NCAA/Madden at 60 bucks..Even at 40 it would have stood a better chance and they should not have had rappers and crap for commercials but got the legends themselves...

But thats the past time to move forward, I will still not play the other guys I am sick of that crap and am looking forward to backbreaker.

i read an article last month that said it did ok, but it didn't sell as well as they thought it would. in addition, it also costs ass loads of money to pay these individual players to use their likeness.

It barely cracked 100k granted that still a boatload of money but not for the advertising and likenesses put into the game...Not to mention cost to develop and ship it was a financial nightmare. Most games usually are, but this one tanked.

Who knows how much they paid for the legends, it isnt like they could go to the NFLPA and just pay a flat out fee and some of those guys in the game are bitter towards anything football..It wasnt a pretty penny thats for sure.

There was nothing dramatically new with APF2K8. It was the same run of the mill 2K game that they released prior to EA buying the NFL rights.

I liked the game but I'm disappointed it was discounted so much so quickly. If they had priced it at $30-40 off the bat, if probably would have sold better.

I bought it for 40 the Friday of the week it was released..It leaves little to be desired in terms of single player although the weather effects are freaking awesome...The online is where its at, I still get enjoyment out of it.

since they cant get the license, it would make sense to support this game by giving updates of some kind and only do a new game when it's actually new and improved. Like getting the back breaker engine.

Hell, make it a mainly online game with tournaments, ladders and leagues.

I would suggest people try the game for themselves. While I'll not get into pointing fingers I will say the level of mis-information in this thread is outstanding. Also everything points to there being another game coming out.

PS: If you give this game 2 hours you'll learn nothing and will not be very good. You WILL have to put some time into the game to get the flow down and then you can judge the game after that. I will say single player is rather thin. Offline is best versus a friend and online is where it's at. Unfortunately there aren't any weather effects online (besides wind) but other than that it's a really good game. Beats anything I've played yet when it comes to football.

I'm glad they made 2k8.

It was quite stupid though to hold on to that $60 launch price.

Turned everyone off.

Maybe they understand now. Going against Madden? Then be less expensive.

They can get the 60 bones but they have to first NOT release the same time Madden does. That was suicide. Second if you are going to charge the full price you gotta have the modes that people are looking for.
