I have a subterrainian unfinished basement that is very dry. No leaks, the cement is even dusty. I'd like to add a HT to it but these friggin bugs are killing me. If the misses ever saw one, she'd crap and wouldn't go down there.

I was thinking one of those pest bombs along then spreading boric acid in any nook and crany to keep them out.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you

YUK!

I had a few of those monsters in my basement after I just finished it but they didn't stick around long. Just got rid of the 3 or 4 that I did see and haven't seem them in over 6 months (basement started getting used in April). Bug bombs will do the trick though.

I believe they like to eat spiders so they are not entirley bad.

Had those too. Occassionally one still pops up. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get some indoor pest spray and give the area a good once over a couple times a year. Works wonders.

You won't get rid of every bug down there (that's physically impossible) but it'll be more controlled.

Good luck, i read on a nature site that one of these can live for up to 15 years!

Thanks guys. I'm bombing it this week. Then sealing up any cracks with expanding foam. Then I'll start with the dricore.

Try some of the habenerro hot sauces. Try daves insanity sauce, which is an oil base sauce if i am not mistaken. Your method of delivery could very, but you can dip a piece of candy in that sauce and bugs wont touch it. WARNING, IF IT GETS ON YOUR HANDS WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER. It will set your boys on fire for sure, if you know what i mean.
