Not sure if this is the best forum to post this question in, but regarding the latest line of Sim2 projectors, I noticed that some lenses are fairly recessed and am wondering how this would affect performance when using anamorphic lenses.
It doesn’t look like the HT5000 has this issue, but the 380, 3000e AND C3X1080 worry me. Anyone with a 380 or 3000e have any issues? Would you know the approx distance between the projector and anamorphic lens? I’d like to test this spacing with my current setup and ensure there won’t be any nasty surprises.
Thx.

Hi Ian,
We've already done a couple of 2.35 setups and there is no problem. Sim2 uses both the Isco III and Panamorph in their "2.35 packages" and there is no problem. This is primarily due to the small aperature in the PJ's you mentioned. Because of this, you can have the anamorphic lens further away from the PJ lens without any issues.

I've used both with an ISCOIII. No problems. I'm not at home to check the distances. They are tested in development for ISCO compatability. Sim2 actually sell kits based on ISCO and a cheaper one that I believe is Panamorph based, called Flex.
