As some of you may know, The Edward Scissorhands Blu-ray disc is really shaky. It's super annoying, and if I recall, the DVD wasn't like this. What went wrong, and do you think there will be replacements?

I doubt there will be replacements of many titles released on either HD format. Most people don't read disc reviews, hence, most people will still blind buy these things. Same thing happened with DVD (not necessarily on the same title, mind you). Crappy transfers / disappointment doesn't matter after you've already parted with your cash. That's why I try to stick to buying movies that fellow AVS members have rated well (what reason do any of us have to lie :p).

Reviews I've read state that the DVDs had the same problem. It makes you wonder why Fox even bothers to release catalog titles like this, it's obvious they don't give a damn about them.

How does this "shakiness" manifest itself?

telecine wobble, i believe. That's most annoying if that's what it is. Fox should be ashamed of themselves for approving such a master.
