Hello all,
I used regularly a 40 GB external USB drive (the drive has its own power supply) with my 360 for pictures and music.
Yesterday, when I switched the 360 on, the drive was not seen any more (at all). I checked the drive with my PC and it looks good. I connected two other usb drives to the 360 ( both are FAT32, both work on my PC) and neither works on the 360 (they are bus powered and they seem to work as the light comes on).
However: when I use a Sandisk 4 GB flash disk, that works... Also, I have a wired controller - that works as well.
What is going on here?
Any ideas?
I tried calling Microsoft - but after holding for over 40 minutes (after an initial brief troubleshoot which did not help) I gave up....
Thanks to all,
Miklos
