Just watched "Meet the Robinsons" with the family on our Samsung BD-P1200. Problem was the "Angle" icon kept appearing on the top left of the screen mutilple times throughout the movie and would remain on for 20-30 seconds. Does anyone know how to disable this feature? It makes for a thogoughly annoying movie playback experience. The movie also froze several times requiring skipping forward or back a chapter to get it working again. I haven't had any problems like this with any of my other BR movies.

By the way, apart from these annoyances this is a great family movie to add to your BR collection. Excellent video and sound quality, a simple but delightful story, outstanding animation and great voice talent - you don't need to go big-name Hollywood for brilliant voice performances. And another great Danny Elfman soundtrack.

I had the same issue with watching this on the LG BH-100. Yes, it's very annoying, and no, I don't know how to disable it.

Setup>Display Setup>Screen Message=Off should solve this for you. :)

Thanks RUR, that fixed the "Angle" icon problem. Now, anyone know why the movie keeps freezing in a few places? Always exactly the same spots.

I didn't have any freezing issues.:confused: Are you running the latest firmware?

No freezing issues for me either on my 1200.

Big thx to PUR ... man I wish I would have read this thread earlier. Just had a movie evening with friends watching Ratatouille and that angle icon came up every 5 min or so ... very annoying! Now I know how to fix it ... THX PUR you are the man!

Oh and @helmsman I also did not have any freezings with Meet the robinsons. However I have the newest firmware installed and now even Deja vu runs without freezing. However (again) I now have that strange thing that the sound volume is a lot smaller. before I was watching BRs at 25 on my Pio 5080. After installing the newest firmware (thx FOX grrrrrr) I need like 35-45 on the same movie to get to the same volume ... strange strange.

I just finished with no problems on a 40 gig PS3. Maybe a player firmware problem?

Did you remember to reset player audio and video options after the firmware upgrade? There are a few setup options which revert to default when the firmware is upgraded. Can't recall what they are, but it's possible one of them may be causing the audio difference you're experiencing. Just a theory... :)
