COD3 wasn't too bad online but it wasn't great, either. I eventually went back to COD2 after about a month or so. COD3 weapons are unbalanced and the vehicles are basically useless. I hated the maps except for 2 of them, and why must there be vehicles to be considered a good game?

i went to cc.com and went through the process of pre-ordering cod4, and the shopping basket ends up showing cod 4 for 30.00 and cod 3 for 29.99. if you can return cod 3 after you buy the bundle it essentially gets you cod4 for 30 bucks. not too bad if it works.

note: i believe you have to get the 360 versions of the games to be able to pull this off. if anyone wants to try this out, let us know how it goes!

I just picked up COD4 at the local Circuit City. They didn't have it on the shelves yet, so I had to ask for it, and they had them stashed behind the front counter. I got COD3 (Gold edition) and a poster for free.

I went there and got NOTHING for free.. I was on my lunchbreak and drove like 8 miles just to get it from CC when I coulda got it at Sam's for 5 bucks cheaper and it woulda been closer. MrXpress, this was the CC @ Citrus Park. Always a disaster. I go to your location on occassion as well, not much better. Citrus did say they expected it by 2p so you should be ok for the drive home. If not, hit up the brand new BB in Wesley Chappel and get a free crappy non HD-DVD as well. Good luck.

The 2 for $30 deal is a "glitch" in the "computer system" according to my local CC in Nashville (Cool Springs) CC and they wouldn't sell the 2 for $30..

I stayed home with a sick kid today so my wife was nice enough to go to CC and happen to be the 1st in line and found out this info.

Turns out that they only had ONE COPY of COD3 so lucky me.. I got the only deal at this store. My wife said there were alot of unhappy people in that place. I'm not surprised at all. CC sucks! Just glad they sucked today to everyone but me. :)

Thanks for the tip. Picked up both at my local CC. Mine rang up as $59.99 for COD4 and $0.00 for COD3. I think I was the first one to pick one up, the cashier had to get the manager to ring it out correctly. Also, I was speaking with another worker and he mentioned he was going to put a COD3 aside so he could get the deal too. I think there were only a few COD3s available, so I am guessing a lot of people will miss out on the deal.

I looked through what they had and then decided to try to get a gift card for the $30 instead. She called someone and they said that's fine. On my way home, I stopped at Blockbuster and traded in a few games, one of which was my original copy of COD3. Got $15 for it at Blockbuster. So I made out by basically getting an extra $15 from Circuit City. Not too bad.

I have shopped at CC exactly 3 times, Free game with Forza, Free game with Shadowrun and Free game with CoD4. Never had trouble and always had to go to the desk... not sure if thats normal or not. CC is really a PITA to get to so I only go for a great deal. I'll be back tomorrow to grab Virtua Fighter... wish I had paid attention and known it was forty bucks!

I just returned for CC in Toledo, Oh (Spring Meadows- Airport Hwy) and they were sold out of COD 3 so they are replacing that with a gift card worth $32.04! I think that's a better deal instead of getting an old game that most people have or have played.

Both CC I went to (Metro center and N. Scottsdale) did not have any CoD3, nor were they issuing any rainchecks or giftcards. they just said 1st come 1st serve. One of them mentioned that they 'might' be getting a shipment of CoD3 on Thursday, but I would have to return the game i bought and re-buy the game to get the 'free' CoD3. I already have CoD3 and I used the Burger King Coupon, so I got a $10 gift card. If I am in the mood, I may try getting the CoD3, but really I have no need for it, unless it is the gold edition with the extra maps, then it may be worth it (and trade in my existing game). But then again, I have not played CoD2 since CoD3 came out, and likely I will not play CoD3 anytime in the future anyways.

My buddy and I were the last ones to get a copy of COD3 with COD4 at our local CC. Took 30 minutes for them to ring us up though because one of the copies was a return from the chick ahead of us so their inventory didn't show 2 copies, just one. I was seriously exhausted from the ordeal...

Yes....CC sucks! I went in & they said no more COD3 left, but the inventory screen said they had one copy left. I went thru every single game in the bins & I found COD3 (Regular COD3 no Gold Edition) mixed-in with other games! No copies of the poster & to be honest, I don't care.

Had to wait like 15 minutes until they could get the pricing right for the free copy. No 2 games for $30.00 like some, but 2 for $59.99 which is a good deal. I just bought COD3 from BB last week & lucky for me I didn't open it up! Returned it to BB yesterday.

All-in-all it took me like 35-40 minutes to get out of there! At least I scored my free copy of COD3 that I wanted for Single Player anyway!

After a bit of a hassle, the bestbuy matched the cc deal. I was about to leave and go to cc when the manager changed her mind. I was getting a little mad at the waste of time.
