Is there anyway to playback DVD's ripped to single VOB's, renamed to .mpg extension, within OSX? These were ripped on a PC/Vista.
I bought the QT MPG-2 decoder but that doesn't work (I probably should have researched more).
I would prefer to use FrontRow if possible.
Thanks!

*bump*
Just wondering if anyone had any ideas? I would prefer not to have to re-rip all my DVD's with MTR if possible.
Thanks,

Have you tried VLC Media Player?

So, that worked (thanks!). Does that mean that for watching movies in Mpg-2 format, my only option is VLC (or some other 3rd-party s/w)? I was hoping that I could utilize the FrontRow Front-end for HTPC-ease.

You've asked an excellent question. Most of us are still learning Leopard basics and we haven't had time to experiment with everything yet. Be patient... I think your answer will come as we gain more experience working with Leopard.
i may be asking this in the wrong place but is there a way to send the music from
front row to the airport express i already tried airfoil and it did not work.

You select Airport Express as your "speakers" in the bottom right corner of the iTunes window. I'm not sure what capabilities Front Row has for Airport Express under Leopard since I haven't plugged in my AX after upgrading. Many of us are still churning our way through Leopard features... learning ins-and-outs of Time Machine, etc. Sorry I can't be more authoritative now as I sit before my XP machine at work. Hopefully iTunes' audio output selection will get you started.

As you found out, VLC can play a single .VOB

well, Front Row can handle rips that are VIDEO_TS; you just have VOBs, though, right? You may have to use something like MPEG Streamclip to convert VOBs to MPEG-2, though I think there's a file size limitation trying to do that; others transcode to H.264 to get it to work within Front Row.
