I don't think you will be able to return the Heroes box set since you got it for free. The receipt you have will state that. Best thing to do with it if you don't want it is to try Ebay or something similar.

Now for your other question regarding the 3rd free movie, you should be able to take your receipt in and ask for the 3rd free movie. BUT only if the offer for the three free movies is on the xbox addon.

the receipt wont show them as free. everything will have a price, and it's all adjusted strategically so if you were to return something, you probably couldnt turn a profit.

i dont doubt you... but they usually wont do that, cause then you can return the player, keep the free hddvd's.

last time i got something free from CC, they charged me 20 for the "free" item, and took 20 off of the "purchased item"

so if i return the purchased item, i dont get the "free" item free, i end up paying 20 for it.

My receipt showed the three free movies as $0 with $x.xx deduction listed under the name not in the price column.

CC does what you said. I got my 360 a year ago and it came with a free controller. The 360 had $50 subtracted from the price and I was charged full price for the controller. I also used one of those $40 off $200 coupons back when the forgot to add game consoles to the excluded list. So I returned the controller* and ended up getting the Premium 360 for $310 ($400 - $50 - $40). Pretty good deal even a year later.

*The controller actually had the blisterpack dented and had the thumbstick pressed all the way to the side. I was going to swap it for a different undented one, but they just went ahead and gave me the $50 back. I later found a wireless controller on sale at Kmart for like $25.

Yea, it is a pretty much west coast chain of video and music stores, you can rent and buy music, movies, video games and books. i'm from back east and i never remember seeing one there. i have returned box sets to borders before without a reciept and they have given me store credit. walmart might even take heroes too. it worth a shot.
