With WalMart, BB, CC and Sears literally selling out nationwide of HD-DVD A2players and all those people sending in the UPS codes for the five free movies. Do you think any of us have a snowballs chance in hades of getting these movies before Christmas.

I'm having a set sent to my folks house (bought one for my mother, so emailed my father to let him know what I bought her and to tell him if the movies arrive before the Christmas to "hide them" from her till I get down there to give her the player and movies.)

But after sending him the e-mail, I thought with so many people buying these players, that the place that sends out the movies, probably had no clue about what WalMart was about to do and now have to prepare for the influx of mail they are about to get.

The ad says 8-10 weeks delivery and that's a normal time of the year, with them selling 100,000 (estimated not confimred) that they will have to have 500,000 copies of movies just sitting around and enough manpower to fill those orders.

Think my folks might get there's by Valentine's Day.......if their lucky. :(

Slim

You may get lucky if you call Toshiba enough to "check" on your 5 free discs. But it appears that most people have to wait awhile.

Sorry cgello, your correct (I'll edit my post) when I bought my player a year ago, I recall it was about 6-8 weeks, So that easily could've changed.

My movies took about 12 weeks. I do agree that you should call and check on the status in about four weeks as it seems to hurry them along quicker.

I'm at nine weeks and counting, so don't count on Christmas (even worse when you factor in XMas Holiday mail delays.)

I'm still waiting on my 5 free movies mailed in August. No, they didn't lost my rebate. I checked and it is in the system. Supposedly they will mail it out 11/25 at the earliest. So, look ing next spring for your 5 free movie based on my experience. :)

Me too. :D

I am just hoping to get them, since as already pointed out, the form has an invalid address. Hopefully, the post office is dealing with that and getting our forms delivered successfully. ;)

I just got my A3 yesterday. They sold 90,000 A2's the first weekend of November. Then there was all the A3's sold around black Friday. Even if only 50% of people claim the free 5 we're probably talking having to ship out half a million disks. I'm not holding my breath for this year.
