In all seriousness, you can make big bucks working your way up at McDonalds. I saw a documentary recently about a guy that started out at the lowest position and rose to manager and then started buying his own franchises. He was loaded. Hell, his manager was pulling down a quarter mil a year.

Other than the long threads about every TV here where is a good place to learn about the features on all the televisions to be more informed. I refuse to be one of those salesman that don't know what the hell they are talking about and actually want to inform the customers in a non-geek way of course. :)

if you're looking for a great inexpensive plasma, Panasonic is the way to go, end of story. you can get their entry level 50", which is very good, for under $1100 now...

Hey don't knock those "cheaper" displays. I bought an Insignia from Best Buy for a bedroom tv and it's really nice. Of course I can only speak for pic quality for the 360 since that's all I use it for, but I can say that it is nice. Insignia's are made by LG so it's not like a made from the garage type of display. If you are using it for gaming, I highly recommend it. I got my 27" for just over $440 and couldn't be happier.

we have a Vizio for the living room. It's hooked up to a PS3 and the picture quality is pretty good. sure the performance isn't as good as Plasma but as an everyday TV, it is great!

but just like with anything, the ones that you find in the higher end TVs are from the company's (A,B,C,D's) better line. Sure the quality might be the same but the performance is different.

Wouldnt it be nice for Vizio to announce a 1080P 60" Plasma with 120hz processing for $1999.

I know it sounds crazy as hell but thats exactly what they did when they first announced a 720P 50" Plasma for $2999 back in 2005. I know because I bought it. When that tv was announced in '05.. every other 720P 50" Plasma was over $5000. Not only that the Vizio had 2 HDMI inputs and PIP that supported the VGA input. Its still hard to find that feature even today.

I'm sticking with my sweet 24 inch sony tube tv made in 94. It's pretty awesome. I can almost see what is going on when I watch it. Makes me use my imagination. You cant put a price tag on that. Plus my wife says I cant buy anymore crap.:)

As much as it sucked the extended warranties are pretty much necessary on the 360.. isnt a wonderful feelin to have your shyt replaced in under an hour. I just went through the same experience a month ago.

I look at all the money people spend on gaming, HT, computers, internet, etc.. and you would think with the questionable history of RROD.. anybody from a technical website like AVS.. would pay extra for the EXP warranty on the 360.



But yes just sign in again.. and into LIVE. Your profile will download with all of your game saves. You will have to go back and redownload DD merchandise you paid for it. But you dont have to pay for it again.

Anyways, I liked how we held down the spawns a couple of times in team deathmatch on a couple of maps. Even against a good team, as long as we were able to put a stranglehold on their spawn points, we were able to pretty much kick some arse.

As much as I've had a hard time with the M14 and headshots, it's slowly starting to make sense. Much like the G3, I have to hit them first, which then slows them down, and then aim for the hea. Sometimes, when I get lucky, I'll just try shooting for their head right away but rarely is it effective

It was fun even just switching between TDM and HQ because of the change in pace and objective.

Most of my headshots with the G3 have probably come when firing from the hip. Aim at the chest and get a headshot, good times. I've got 60 something more headshots for the G3 then on to the M14.

i got home from my softball game and jumped online. Apparently, at some point in the middle of all my drinking yesterday, i made a deal with the devil (wife). i wouldn't play COD and i would make it a movie night. i thought i would get off line and put my sad face on and she would tell me to go ahead and play.......didn't work.

I just took a tactical rifle class that has completely changed my perspective on the lack of a Gears of War style cover system. CoD's "cover" system is way more realistic.

What is up with retards in a Headquarters game swearing at me for capping a headquarters to finish the game. I mean seriously you want to rack up the kills go play some other mode. I did it twice and they continued to act like I was the idiot.

Then their continual taunting for me not have as many kills as they did even though I had more points because of playing the objectives just cracked me up to no end.

First time in the entire time of the game being out that this has happened. I just filed a complaint because of language and taunting and put them on the "do not want to play with them" list.

Do any of you think that some people out there would play better if they didn't use voice chat so much? I've never plugged in the mic for that very reason. No one seems to use it to actually benefit the team.

Just as I hold my breath and time my shot from across the map, it happens.... "MY MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD!" I take the shot, probably missing, and realize how much more fun I was having before this kid started singing. So I press the back button and mute him.:::

I remember when the game first launched, more people were talking tactically and strategizing, and the crowds were guys in their 20's and 30's. But now that the game's been out for almost a year, the voice chat is annoying.

Nothing better than a squeeky voiced pre-teen calling me a f*g because I play smart/patiently and dont run around in the open...

A crazy schedule still hasn't allowed me to play with AVSers, but I'm really looking forward to being able to team up with grown-ups who enjoy strategizing. i know everyone plays into the late hours in the weekends. Hopefully I'll be able to meet up with you soon.

And the name of the game is called capture the HQ (not the finish the map and lets move on to something else). If my team is up 230-0.. then thats exactly what we have done, we have captured the HQ.. several times over. Or did we do something something wrong there? There is absolutely nothing in the world stopping the other team from capturing the HQ with time remaining in the match (well except for my bullets.. lol). The majority of the people playing HQ play it VERY same fashion as I do. So I have no trouble finding people to play 'my way'. You on the other hand, seems to be one getting yelled at in the matches. Think about it.

I said "Not really". haha. Well the new console from the replacement plan was a June console and the one I bought last night was an August console. The power supply has a couple vent holes, different shade of gray for the color, and is lighter than the June console's brick. It probably isn't a Jasper but a new brick design.

If you want TDM go play TDM. I refuse to alter the rules of the game type I choose to play in because you (or anyone else) want to so you can increase your points. If you would have played the objectives to start with then you wouldn't have to worry about how many points you have at the moment because it would already be high.

Its called finish the map and move on to something different. It is always better to finish the game, reset the map and shuffle the players than it is to just stick around and get points. Are you there to win the game or increase your stats? Makes you sound extremely selfish while playing a team game.How about both? Now I would not yell at you personally but I would wonder what the hell you were doing especially if your team had a huge lead ? Why not dominate the opposing team in every way possible?

Much like Domination. Capture the point closest to your spawn and B, then force the opposing team to respawn in the same spot . Easy points for everyone!!!!!! You don't have to hold all the points to win. Just two for the majority of time. Why not suffocate them? More points for everyone on the the winning team. Not just one person. The ENTIRE winning team. How is that selfish?

Look....If you are with a group talented enough to go up 200-0 and they start cornholing..its because they earned it. Obviously your getting raped. Sometimes I'm the Raper, other times (last night) im the Rapee. If your team worked hard enough to shut the other team out..then hell yes cornhole. Don't cornhole your friends because thats no fun(unless you all agree).

Lastly, if your being cornholed...you can change it right back at them. Don't keep running at HQ like a lemming. Sit back...you know your down 200 points and they're looking for kills. post up, get them pissed because your not feeding them.

WHAT I DONT LIKE: is when you are playing the HQ and a sniper blows your spawns because he's playing TDM from the onset. Theres a time to play TDM at HQ, and its after you declare cornhole on your hapless victims.

Even better flank their azz that is cornholing.. you will get easy kills and you will change the spawn points so that your team has a better chance of caputering the HQ..

i like to switch up the game types once in a while. played a bit of regular and then harcore and then HQ and then hardcore and then back to regular and then HQ... well you get the idea.

It really exposes you to a wider range of players who skill level also varies. from the super aggressive rambo types to the tactical technicians to just the plain noobie that goes around and gets killed.

i played last night for the first time in a long time. i still have fun with the game, but i am tiring of the same old game types. i wish they had 'hardcore' available in all games. i have been looking forward to the new game-types (hardcore free-for-all, specifically).

Wait a sec! Isn't the whole point of playing the game to SCORE POINTS!! Whether it's objective or not, the whole point of CoD is to gain exp and rank up. Getting kills in objective games also give you points, therefore becoming part of the objective! Now, I'm not a big fan of going into an objective based game and not playing the objective at all. But if we have done our jobs and have a substantial lead, then by all means protect the HQ and get sh*tloads of kills! It's part of the OBJECTIVE!:)

LOL. I've played with Diddy and Crash before, Crash does great in hardcore, but then we played regular and he ummm...sucked. lol.

In some ways hardcore is actually easier because you dont have to aim as much. Just spray while running and a stray bullet will kill the enemy. CQB is just lame in hardcore.

I've heard the "rumor" as well. I know I kicked his arse in private headshot only matches, but he does own whenever I play with or against him in matchmaking. He is good though, no doubt.

I've never had a problem playing with or against him and doing better than him. Yes he does do really well in HC but he doesn't always dominate. Maybe something has happened recently cause I haven't played that much over the past couple of weeks but I don't remember it being that crazy.

many a times, I've been on the team that wants to cornhole so we try to and then the spawns get all screwy...and then we end up losing 250-200. Its possible to lose and yes, that's a game and gamble that we (Deakwan, jrog, Fruitless) like to play and a style that we've been successful at.

You should joined up when you see us online, it's nothing malicious (raping) but rather it's like practice and just racking up the kills. It's fun nontheless

No, you vanquish the weak. You don't let up. After you beat them into submission, you get another group of guys and go it again. The good games are the close ones where you fight tooth and nail for that last hq in the last minute.

The last thing I want is to give any hope to a group of mouthy 14 year old kids that my clan and I can decimate. Its good for kids to learn how to lose anyways.

Tad has made the accusations of crash. Sometimes I tend to agree with Tad. I mean some games with crash the rest of the team is two steps behind the whole game. Other games are fine. Where I think Tad is off base is not everyone on xbl has lag switches. So folks are just damn good. Maybe connection is a bigger factor in this game than we thought.

Well I agree crash tends to rag on people. I deleted him from my friend list a few weeks back. He sent me a message and was pretty angry. I've slowed down my gaming with him lately. The only problem is some of the other good guys (pro, stick, bojay) like to game with him. Crash hasn't joined TWW and is not a representative of TWW. We're about having fun when we game. I know I've been caught up in stats lately and let that affect how much fun I'm having. It's just a game.

I did notice that he really does get down on teamates if things aren't going well. I don't care for how he cusses out the other team when the talk a little smack after a game. I've heard it get pretty heated in post game lobbies and don't really care for that atmosphere. I game to decompress from work not get into arguments over a console game.
