View Full Version : Where is everyone getting Ratatouille?
Anyone know of any special deals on it. (Like the BB sale on Meet the Robinsons. Thanks everyone BTW for the heads up on that deal) :) In the BB add they advertised it for 29.99 as did Target. I was hoping for a better deal somewhere. (other than Amazon)

I believe BB has a deal where you get $10 off if you buy both Cars and Ratatouille on Blu-ray. That puts them down to $25 each.
paintit77 11-04-07, 10:55 PM MSRP Buy via a price match by Target. I will also be using a $10.00 off coupon.
Slim GoodBooty 11-04-07, 11:00 PM I will be getting it for $24.99 at Fry's.
shadowrage 11-05-07, 12:48 AM I believe BB has a deal where you get $10 off if you buy both Cars and Ratatouille on Blu-ray. That puts them down to $25 each.
Will they let you PM and get the $10 off. My BB always lets me PM the target.com prices. $38 for both would be real nice.:)
Arpeggi 11-05-07, 12:57 AM $25 at Fry's
ElChupacabra 11-05-07, 01:10 AM I'm getting it at Wal-mart at 12:01a Tuesday. Their website has it for $26.87, but I'm not sure if that's how much it will cost in-store.
stuttgartHDfan 11-05-07, 06:36 AM well I was getting this item from Amazon but it appears that this might be delayed a little...my bank account shows a charge for amazon..for "Cars" according to Amazon shipping soon.. so we will see if Ratotouille ships today or Tuesday...
I have a gift card for Walmart and will get them to match the BB deal of buying Cars and Rat and getting $10 off instantly to bring each to $25.
thebland 11-05-07, 10:00 AM Wow...to be HD DVD only at this point would hurt..
These are great titles and format neutrality would allow everyone to watch in HD!!
luigionlsd 11-05-07, 10:01 AM Hopefully Netflix... this year :(

I agree with that - thanks to the $99 HD-A2 I picked up last Friday I can now enjoy both, but blu-ray is really where it's at, at least through the end of this year. I'll only be renting the occasional HDDVD exclusive - at least until there's a major shift in studio support.
Getting mine from Amazon.

I agree, as well. Too many good titles on HD disc to be format restricted. I have a really hard time watching SD-DVD on an 84" screen. When I do I can't help but think how much better the image would (typically) look on BD or HD-DVD. This format war is just a sad and sorry situation...
s2mikey 11-05-07, 11:10 AM I agree, as well. Too many good titles on HD disc to be format restricted.
True, but this applies to BD exclusive users as well which thebland fail to point out. No biggy, Im SURE he meant it that way....
:D
I'm just going to pick it up at Target on my way home....
Not worrying about driving out of my way to save $2.
I like Target....good people and cheap dog food!!
cawgijoe 11-05-07, 12:38 PM BB or CC for me. I'm going to try and get them to price-match Target....they always have in the past AND take the $10 off two.
Hopefully they'll do that. I'm also buying the Pixar Shorts and will price match Target on that.
Anubis2005X 11-05-07, 12:50 PM I believe BB has a deal where you get $10 off if you buy both Cars and Ratatouille on Blu-ray. That puts them down to $25 each.
FYI, it looks like the Best Buy ad says that you get $10 off for getting any two of the following:
Blu-Ray
Ratatouille
Cars
Pixar: Short Films Collection
Meet the Robinsons
PS3 Video Games
Ratatouille
Cars
Personally I'm not really a fan of Cars, so I'm definitely happy to substitute the Pixar Short Films disc in it's place.
RDarrylR 11-05-07, 12:57 PM Has anyone ordered Ratatouille from Amazon and had it ship yet? Mine doesn't even say "Shipping Soon" yet. My order includes all 3 Pixars and also Oldboy. All 4 of these release tomorrow.
FYE.com w/10% Coupon and $7 rebate.
Baraka X 11-05-07, 01:01 PM As I mentioned in the other thread, Cars and Oldboy have shipped for me, but not Ratatouille or Pixar Shorts. Amazon is really becoming unrelaible in my eyes. I usually spend 400-500 per month on discs, and every week Amazon is late getting something in stock.
NickFoley 11-05-07, 01:03 PM I have an order on Amazon.com

Mine hadn't either (Ratatouille and Pixar), but then again, I had them on Free Shipping. After I found out that they weren't expected to even ship until next week sometime, I cancelled them. I'll just pick them up at Best Buy tomorrow w/ the $10 off deal.
spam.curitiba 11-05-07, 01:08 PM BBY with Fry's pricematch

Yeah if they are not shipping in the next day or two I will cancel as well.
jling84 11-05-07, 01:28 PM If you pricematch Fry's at BB will they still give you $10 off when you buy 2 Pixar titles?
Amazon, for whatever price they are charging.
Yep, I got the ps3 to play blu-rays primarily on thursday. So I can play HD-DVD and blu-ray now. Just way to many blus coming to not get a player. I think this xmas will be the deciding factor.
Will ther low price of red win with lack of content or the higher priced blu with more content. well at least over the holidays. Sure reds got some good movies comming but I don't think any are as big as the blu movies.
But I will be buying this in 2 weeks as I spend all my extra cash on the ps3. Ha
whippersnapper 11-05-07, 02:18 PM At fye.com for $18.99 after $7 rebate. Along with several other titles with rebates.

SuprSlow 11-05-07, 02:23 PM I ordered Rat and Polar Express from frys.com, but it showed both as backordered. I just bought Cars from Wal Mart over lunch, no sign of Rat. Strange that Cars would be out on shelves, but not Ratatouille.
Neo_Reloaded 11-05-07, 03:21 PM Hopefully Newbury Comics gets it - that's the only place I can get to until I get off work at 6 pm.
Mr. Cinema 11-05-07, 04:23 PM My order for Rataouille has now changed to "shipping soon" on Amazon.
glide2flip 11-05-07, 05:26 PM $21.99 at Newbury Comics. (for those in the MA / NH area).
Getting mine from Amazon. Hopefully they'll ship today as per usual with new releases. I received confirmation my Cars BD shipped but not this one yet.
Ordered it and Cars from Amazon a few minutes ago. Waiting to see when they will ship though.

I am wondering the same thing, I guess its worth a try tomorrow

- $4.80 (10% discount)
- $10.00 (not sure what this was for)
came to a total of about $33 for both movies (so about $17 each)

Does it say "Region A" or "Region A/B/C" on the back?
Fortinbras 11-06-07, 06:31 AM Region A according to user at blu-ray.com.
porkys8077 11-06-07, 08:05 AM At the wal*mart.

I cancelled mine last night after seeing they weren't shipping AND the 10% discount was missing from my order (I keep thinking I'm crazy and missed it not showing up originally, but I've heard others report disappearing discounts lately, so I don't know...).
After seeing this, I went to order them again and got the same thing - the 10% discount AND $10 off. I couldn't find where the $10 off is coming from, either, but it sure sounds good. Maybe they are doing something similar to the Best Buy promotion and it just isn't well advertised...
RDarrylR 11-06-07, 08:58 AM Yeah Amazon now seems to have a $10 off if you buy both Cars and Rat on Blu-ray. I wonder if they'll give me the $10 back for my pre-order? I could cancel my order I guess but I wonder if that will affect when mine gets sent out?
shadowrage 11-06-07, 10:53 AM just ordered cars and ratatouille from amazon

OH sh...!!
Wicked. I am all over this. thanks jyv
Anubis2005X 11-06-07, 11:10 AM Hmm, looks like they're matching Best Buy's deal. That's a great price, but I don't know if I can resist getting the discs now!
I had to cancel my original order for Cars and Rat and start over to get the 10.00 off added. Now it reads 33.11 instead of 43 & some change.
Billabongi 11-06-07, 11:19 AM Sweet deal! I cancelled my old one they decided not to ship so ill take my 10 bucks for waiting HAHA!
Ten bucks for being patient. I'll take that but I hope it doesn't take too long.
Again, (third time) did anyone get a free movie ticket inside for "Enchanted."
sixfootse7en 11-06-07, 11:44 AM Ten bucks for being patient. I'll take that but I hope it doesn't take too long.
Best Buy and Circuit City are also giving the $10 off.

+1
I'm in the same boat. I was planning on stopping by Fry's today, since my previous order hadn't shipped yesterday. Instead, I saved an additional $10 (on top of the 10% off and no tax) and will have both on Thursday.
Thanks to those who mentioned this extra discount - I wouldn't have known about it without you guys.

Isn't that a Best Buy exclusive? When I was at the store, the tickets out on their own and not part of the package. You had to grab one.
Neo_Reloaded 11-06-07, 12:27 PM Grr, Newbury Comics didn't have any of the 3 Pixar Blu-Rays. Looks like I'll be going to Worst Buy after work.
Got mine at wal-mart. good price at 24.98. I see Cars is #23, ratatouille at #7 in the amazon rankings right now. sweet.
picked up Cars, the Rat movie and COD4 today at Best Buy, came out to 84 w/tax, used my 30 bucks in reward zone dollars. Holla.
crootnik 11-06-07, 03:36 PM Frys.. just paid 24.99.. Cars was 26.99 at our local Frys in Woodland Hills, California.
ickzer1 11-06-07, 03:42 PM Just ordered Cars and Rat. on amazon.
ajamils 11-06-07, 03:50 PM Was planning on picking it up from Worstbuy but because of the price...ended up ordering from Amazon.
My copy (and Cars) showed to ship from Amazon today so ill see when they show up.
cueCrew 11-06-07, 04:03 PM BB near me actually had all three (Cars, Rat & Short Films) which was a real surprise. The Release Day No Shows actually convinced me to buy just about everything from Amazon and pre-ordering.
Just as I started to complain about this twist, the UPS truck drove up with Cars, Aviator, Chuck and Larry - but no sign of Rat or Short Films.
Can anyone beat Amazon.coms deal of Cars & Rat for 33.11. I'm sticking with that one.

Hmm I didnt get my two for that price. Unless it will state differently on my invoice when I get it.
cawgijoe 11-06-07, 04:57 PM Got Rat/Cars/Pixar today at BB. They price-matched Target at $23.95 each and then took $10 off......came to $61.85 before tax for all three.
If I bought two, it would have been $18.95 each.
Not bad.
MASrules 11-06-07, 05:08 PM I got bought rat and cars from BB online then picked them up.
Got 10 bucks off for buying both.
I got a free 7 dollar ticket for the upcoming Enchanted bigscreen release as it was free when buying Rat.
I also got a Rat playset for the kids, Reg 14.99, marked down to 9.99, then 5 more dollars off if you bought Rat. Thus the price of the Ratatouille toys was 4.99.
Also you get a free (plus 3 something for shipping) "blu" die cast Lightning McQueen after putting your Cars Blu-ray disney rewards code on the disney movie rewards website.
Not to mention that since the sale was on BB online, I get 2% in my upromise account.
I was very happy to get these with these deals on the day of release.
BlueMan1 11-06-07, 05:09 PM 24.98 at Wal-Mart

aviators99 11-06-07, 06:30 PM I got them today at Best Buy with in-store pickup with the $10 off, *plus* I got an extra $10 off because of the following smallish print on my in-store pickup e-mail:

nick1091 11-06-07, 07:29 PM 24.98 at Wal-Mart
Same here. Got the last one on the shelf on my lunch break.
Yankees24 11-06-07, 07:34 PM My BB had only one RAT left...the MGR told me it was flying off the shelves.
ingramba 11-06-07, 07:41 PM I checked Fry's (Dallas, TX) today and it seems like 117 copies of Rat were sent to the Irving store and not to the other few Fry's here.
I ended up getting both Rat & Cars at Target for 29.99 each with a 10.00 giftcard making them 25.00 each. I shop at Target alot so the 10.00 is good! :)
The free shipping from Amazon will get Rat & Cars to me in three days for 33.11
The free shipping from Amazon will get Rat & Cars to me in three days for 33.11
My checkout is not showing the 10% off, only the $10 off, making my total $37.90 for both. How are you getting the lower price?
My checkout is not showing the 10% off, only the $10 off, making my total $37.90 for both. How are you getting the lower price?
Thats still cheaper than what I paid for mine from them. I paid 23.95 for each and didnt get 10% or $10 off  Oh well...
jling84 11-09-07, 04:45 PM Bought Ratatouille, Cars and Pixar Shorts at BB and pricematched to Target. The girl ringing me up said that if I wanted to pricematch, I couldn't get the $10 off, but when she handed me the receipt it still had $10 off ($5 off Cars and Pixar Shorts). Cars and Pixar Shorts ended up being 18.95 while Rat was 23.95.
Yesterday I went and priceadjusted the three movies using a 10% off coupon I got in my email. Today I heard about a deal where BB is offering a free BD remote or $15 gift card with the purchase of 3 Disney movies... sooooo I guess this is just the gift that keeps on giving!
Nino1919 11-09-07, 06:11 PM Got Rat and Cars for $7.90 shipped :) after the great deal on Amazon and applying for their Visa Card for the extra $30 off. Awesome deal if i do say so myself.
