Hi all I'm trying to learn about my LG (LCoS) 71 inch Model SA1D and I'm getting there.
Out of the 9 major setting in the hidden menu only the last two had my head scratching but now its only one as I have worked out full what option 8,,, W Balance_ Malibu does and I can do that with my eyes closed now but the last one that I'm left with is the "CORDUROY" and I'm slowly learning that.
Once in the Corduroy setting it comes up with a window
Corduroy
1. AASIC- RED >
2. AASIC- BLUE >
3. AASIC- GREEN >
4. Save all settings>

All have a Right arrow, Just for simplicity sake I will only use the RED but the Green and blue do exactly the same except have different values ( Numbers)

Once you hit say the highlighted red (Ch up and down it changes from R to G to Blue) so you hit the selected color with the right hand button on your hand control and a new window pops up exactly like below.

RED Only

1.Trim DAC- A 123
2.Trim DAC- B 131
3.Trim DAC- C 136
4.Trim DAC- D 136
5.Trim DAC Select Adjustment.

Once you select the 5th option Trim DAC Select ADJ the picture jumps IN RED for a split second (Blue and Green do the same when testing)and it select new values as below (PS Same each time tested)

New Values.

1. Trim DAC- A 128
2. Trim DAC- B 131
3. Trim DAC- C 136
4. Trim DAC- D 128
When I tested Green I had a slightly different but similar change, but when I tested Blue Nothing changed at all, they stayed the same as original.

Now the big question is I played with the numbers slightly up and down but noticed no change ( Possible minute changes) so here is the million dollar question what does this CORDUROY EXACTLY DO?.

Google told me that DAC is (Digital Anolog Converter)
and AASIC is (Application Specific Integrated Circuit)

Mind you around the world there are very few of these sets and the Workshop service manual is a joke!!!.
.The person must have been under the influence of alcohol when he drafted this manual.
Thanks.
