How does the battery life and reception of the Inno compare to the MyFi?

I have a 2007 Civic with an aux input. Do I even need the car kit?

Right now I'm using the MyFi with the portable antenna and the signal is just as good as with the car antenna.

I'm thinking, if the reception on the Inno is even better, and it has longer battery life, maybe I could lose the antenna and charger and free up some of the clutter on my dash.
