I had an LCD TV that was too small for my living room for the past couple of years, so I went into Future shop on a whim to replace it and left there with a Sharp 37" LC37D62U (1080p) and a PS3 80Gb. I worked out a great deal with the sales guy and I finally got it up on the wall replacing the Prima garbage I have been watching.

What a world of difference!

The TV is on a 180 degree sanus swivel mount; I can watch it from the lounge, bar table, and the kitchen - the speakers swivel too. My apartment is basically a rectangle beginning with the kitchen, the dining area in the middle and the lounge at the end.

I literally ran an HDMI cable, coax, and power cable through the wall between studs. The power cable goes to a power bar behind the silver boxes and the others go there respective components. I know the power is not done by code and I should have pulled some power of the lower outlet and put one up top behind the TV, but this is fine for now if you ask me.

The TV is used almost exclusively for movies and video games - but I am teetering on the idea of an HDPVR now that the picture quality is so noticeably nice!

Wow, that's high.

Do you watch a lot standing up or from bar stools?

Yeah, tons from my bar stools where I eat dinner, and when I am cooking in the kitchen. (75%) of watching. I sit on the couch and use the tilt on the sanus arm to tilt the tv down for comfortable viewing otherwise.

Is your center channel pointing sideways?

That looks really great. I dont think it's high at all. Ive never like most media centers for LCD or Plasma TVs as I feel they're too low. I have mine on a 2 1/2 foot tv cart. I like being at eye level to my tv and not have to look downward, in a way.

No, you can notice its on two aluminium feet actually that allow me to place it at any angle depending where I am watching from. It is not ideal because of the height issue when I am at the bar or in the kitchen, but honestly, they sound great - especially for a small apartment.

I would like to get a matching set of rear speakers, but I cannot find Mordaunt-short in that color anymore in Canada. I am sure there are places in the UK that still carry them, but most likely want more money than I am willing to part with - not to mention shipping.

Thanks. I too find tv's that are too low awkward to look at - even if I didn't have the bar setup, I think I woiuld have mounted the tv a little higher than the norm.
