I had an LCD TV that was too small for my living room for the past couple of years, so I went into Future shop on a whim to replace it and left there with a Sharp 37" LC37D62U (1080p) and a PS3 80Gb. I worked out a great deal with the sales guy and I finally got it up on the wall replacing the Prima garbage I have been watching.
What a world of difference!
The TV is on a 180 degree sanus swivel mount; I can watch it from the lounge, bar table, and the kitchen - the speakers swivel too. My apartment is basically a rectangle beginning with the kitchen, the dining area in the middle and the lounge at the end.
I literally ran an HDMI cable, coax, and power cable through the wall between studs. The power cable goes to a power bar behind the silver boxes and the others go there respective components. I know the power is not done by code and I should have pulled some power of the lower outlet and put one up top behind the TV, but this is fine for now if you ask me.
The TV is used almost exclusively for movies and video games - but I am teetering on the idea of an HDPVR now that the picture quality is so noticeably nice!
