All,

I'm using HCFR with Spyder II and I have to place the sensor facing the PJ in order to get good reading. I normally place it a few feet from the screen in order to take lower IRE reading. I'm trying to cal my Sharp 12k MKII which has an outstanding CMS.

I've measure the Pri & Sec color and made adjustment to the individual colors to get the xy numbers close to HDTV REC 709 but how do I measure Y if my PJ isn't reading off the screen and the Y reading is very high due to the closeness and facing the PJ.

I hope this is clear enough to gain me some help because this one has me stumped.
