Hi All,
I'm looking to create some videos on my pc and hope some of you can suggest some gear. I'd like the quality to be higher than the usual webcam but would still like to record direct to the pc.
I have a decent video capture/tv tuner card. so i was thinking i should be able to hook up an old camcorder (i already have a good microphone with usb interface for audio) but i need to find one that has rca or s-video type output (to feed into my capture card) stays on powered by AC (i.e. won't automatically shut off after xxx minutes, and doesn't display on screen menus when hooked up that way. any suggestions on older cheaper cameras I should look for on ebay? Size isn't really important either as I'll just set it on a tripod in the corner of my computer room.
I'm looking for suggestions on software that would let me edit together multiple video tracks. E.g. I'd like to be able to show a different clip on each part of the screen ... like record video of myself playing drums and another of myself playing guitar and then show them at the same time on separate halves of the screen. Does the "elements" version of adobe premier allow this? Ideally I'd have something that makes it easy to start and stop capturing video from the connected camera. I.e. click a button and it's recording, click again and it stops and I can go edit.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Dave
