...maybe. All I know is I was replacing some old 2-prong receptacles in my living room, and when I finished and turned my TV back on, the STB got stuck on the startup screen. Upon further investigation I realized my entire FiOS system was down, and running on battery backup. However, the outlet it is plugged into is working fine. I tinkered inside the box a little and was able to get it working briefly a couple times by playing with some of the connections, but it will not stay working permanently. I did not have the TV on before I started working on the receptacles, so I'm not entirely sure I even did anything to it.

Either way, it's pretty frustrating, and they will be coming by sometime between 8am and 2pm today to have a look at it.

Is the receptacle controlled by a wall switch? I wasted 45 minutes once when I inadvertently plugged some equipment into the lower receptacle (the one controlled by the light switch). Of course when I went to check that the power was on I plugged a lamp into the upper receptacle -- the one that was free and, of course, not controlled by the wall switch.

No, it's definitely getting power. I checked multiple points inside the FiOS box to verify it was getting power. But it still doesn't think it is for some reason. I'm wondering if I somehow blew a fuse somewhere in the box.
