My HD upgrade has been done by DISH today. PQ is great. How do I get my 5.1 surround to work from my audio receiver? The receiver it’s self has no optical or digital coaxial type of plugs. As far as I can tell only thing back there are RCA type plugs. I’ve heard that if I use these it will not reproduce true Dolby digital surround? The back of the TV has from what I can tell by the owners manual a digital audio out that should in theory connect to the same type of Dolby digital in connection on the back of my receiver. I guess what I’m saying or asking is there a way to get real 5.1 surround with the receiver I have now? TV is a Panny TH-58PX60U and the receiver is a Pioneer VSX-D606S if that helps out anyone. There is something about AC-3 connections back there but again I have no idea.
