Are you planning on getting it pro calibrated? DO you like the WOW closer effect? BriS2K 11-09-07, 01:29 AM I would go for the 6010. The additional 10" is huge, 44% more screen estate. At 9', that's perfect for 60" 1080p viewing. PQ is nearly the same between the Elite and non-Elite. But the non-Elite is still an amazing set that is leaps beyond any hidef set available today. dssturbo1 11-09-07, 01:32 AM 6010 +1 brisk2 nobuyersremorse 11-09-07, 02:02 AM I do enjoy the wow factor when watching movies, but think it may be a little close for sdtv. If i got the 110 I would get it calibrated. Would the pq loss be worth the loss is screen size? Would the pq loss be worth the loss is screen size? Dont think there will be a huge PQ loss that you would notice. optivity 11-09-07, 07:45 AM Same price, 9' viewing distance, what to do?60" is better than 50" which is better than 42", especially once shrinkage (http://www.seinfeldscripts.com/TheHamptons.htm) occurs. Go with the PDP-6010FD. ColdCase 11-09-07, 11:45 AM I faced the same decision a month ago, got the 6010 and am happy. SD viewing is adequate. 10-11 feet may be better for SD, but I don't think you buy a 1080 set to show off SD. So it depends on size vs being able to calibrate colors more accurately, which one gives your eye more pleasure. The 60 inch sure comes in handy when viewing wide screen movies. ccotenj 11-09-07, 11:55 AM i'll echo the rest of the responses... 6010, no doubt... that extra 10 inches far outweighs getting the last bit of calibration accuracy... |
