my nephew just purchased this hdtv. told him i would try and find him some settings as far as calibration.

could someone point me in the right direction?

Copying settings is a bad idea. Too much variation between TVs and people's DVD players. You are far better off to use even a free disc test pattern like those found on THX discs and just spend the 5 minutes it takes to optimize the image for his TV ...
