I finally got around to replacing my slow G4 Mini with a new 2gig C2D. I have to say I'm extremely pleased with the combination of EyeTV, HDHomeRun and the new FrontRow in Leopard. The full-screen EyeTV mode and of course, FrontRow, play very nice with the Apple Remote. I also picked up the new BT keyboard. WAY better than the old Apple BT keyboard.
However, I have a few remaining annoyances and thought I'd see if anybody else has run into these issues:
1) Switching from EyeTV full-screen mode to FrontRow works great, except for the fact that QT won't put ANY sound out if an EyeTV window is still streaming (foreground, background or minimized). Unfortunately, when switching, EyeTV doesn't close any video windows when you exit full-screen mode. Anybody know of way to close the video windows with the remote? I know I can grab the mouse, but I'm trying to make this seamless for the Wife.
2) When playing back recordings in EyeTV, pressing and holding the forward button gets you 4x FF. Anybody know of a way to make that go faster?
3) I lose about 1/2 of the upper menu bar due to overscan on my Samsung HLN-567W. I've tried SwitchResX, but can't reduce the horizontal or vertical by more than 4 pixels before I get garbage on the screen (this @ 1280x720). Anyway, I've learned to live with it, but was curious if anybody else had this same setup and was able to reduce the overscan.
Thanks!
